What's the quality of this one?
Picked one up this afternoon, built it and cooked on it. Seems like a good buy to me. Lot's of putting together but overall nice and sturdy with plenty of cooking space. Feels like it should last a few years too (also comes with 3 year warranty).
There may be a number of people considering buying this given the great weather out at the moment. The putting together of the BBQ is not helped by the instructions that show the majority of the steps in just a couple of diagrams. It is not clear which way the nuts should go on so had to make a few assumptions. There is a charcoal BBQ from Argos that looks like it is made by the same manufacturer and it comes with a basic set of BBQ tools and a rain-cover - neither of which are included in this, and for the same price. That version doesn't include the two set aside areas which are useful. The biggest flaw, in my view, is that this doesn't have an adjustable height for the cooking area which means that you are a bit limited in cooking options. Also you need to be careful to get large sized pieces of charcoal as the smaller charcoal bits will otherwise fall through the charcoal grill.
Build quality seems fairly good for the general BBQ - just the design might be different. Given that there is an Argos and Tescos drum BBQ at the same price (Tescos might have been cheaper) and have potentially more to offer, I'm a little disappointed with this even if it is a good price.
