Good deal for anyone who needs a GPS watch for running or any other sports. I recently purchased the Garmin 110 with HR monitor and can confirm it is a great bit of kit. This is the cheapest I have seen the watch for sale!

Not a bad price for a good bit of kit. Heat added

Will this track indoor?

Not unless you get a GPS signal indoors!

I actually bought one of these a few months back, now I feel all sad inside

Unfortunately not. You'd have to go for the Forerunner 210 with a foot pod to be able to track indoors.

Anyone know if this is worth a purchase as i am doing 2-3 days of weights and 2 days of cardio a week...Beurer PM 25 Heart Rate Monitor (sorry if im hijacking this thread with this post :|)

Thought of buying one of these but went with a Bluetooth heart-rate monitor to use with my Android phone instead (~£50 from Amazon.de). Endomondo rocks!

got the old 405 a few years back paid £240
would buy this if it broke
top tip - dont leave it on charge and run it flat regularly
far too accurate for my liking !!!!

Please note that this one does NOT have the heart rate monitor.

how does this compare to the ultrasport also on sale at amazon with heart rate monitor?

thanks

If you want an HRM, and Assuming that a strap is about £30, for a little more I would go for the 410 instead: amazon.co.uk/Gar…1-1

can these display location in lat/long and or OSGB?

I don't know how practical it is, but at least is cheap.

If only Hansel and Gretel had had one of these.....

Good price if you want a basic GPS watch and do not want an HRM. If you are not sure what you want then educate yourself HERE

Great price might get as a spare most people wont need the heart rate monitor i used mine a few times and not used since in reality if my rate goes too high i am not going to slow down especially in a race.

does it track the distance via gps on a run? if so any reason why wouldnt do the miles on a cycle ride? want as much usage as possible for my ££..

I use this watch for running, cycling (MTB and road). It tracks distance, does your heart rate, time, pace etc.

You can set it to beep at set distances. I set mine to beep every half a mile and use it for interval training.

Its also good for uploading the data to your computer to analyse the information.

Great deal, I have a Garmin, different watch but great piece if kit.

Use the endomondo web site to link too as this gives you far better analysis of your training, routes, and links well with social network sites.

Need to scrap my Nike+ SportWatch GPS and get a Garmin. The Nike+ watch is bloody useless!

Have they fixed the battery life problems on these that the earlier Forerunner watches suffered from?

My old Forerunner 50 (non-GPS) burns through a 5-year battery about every 6 months.

Hi, not sure if anyone can help or not, but I have been searching for a decent device similar to this for swimming, if anyone out there can recommend a watch like this but for swimming that would be great.
Thanks

These are junk for hiking in the Lake District/Wales/West Scotland as they are not waterproof. Even under waterproofs the screen steams up on the inside and eventually it blanks until it has had a few days to dry out.

OK in the Namib desert, though...

That is one of its weaknesses. If you are planning on getting wet (or even sweating heavily) then you should get a 310XT or 910XT.

This SITE is normally a good start when trying to find the best price for Garmin GPS watches.
