Do yourself a favour and sit it out. The hills are about half way in, you want to find yourself bailing 50miles from the start
I expect this will be dropping more as the newer 830 is out and gets very good reviews. Essentially just a better version of this in every way.

Good luck with that! In all seriousness you can defer until next year
Also don’t forget that Garmin are running a £50 pre paid card promotion on 530/830. I picked up my 530 for £209 as a result of the rebate & it came with a free silicone case. Well worth the extra for the latest gen with the additional metrics/mapping.

Have you got the Garmin Varia RTL510 radar unit?
That's very cool
You can get a free app from the Garmin store to switch off (& control the light), to save extra battery power.

Or hopefully they are doing the 46 or the 19! I can't imagine doing Leith Hill with any sort of injury...
Touch screen is a bit of a bore on this device...

Did you do it? I did and absolutely shattered...very bad organisation though
yes - Smashed the first 30-40 miles at a record pace then got massively delayed for 1.30hrs whilst we all stopped and let ambulances through. I was one of the last to be allowed up Leith Hill but, because of all the people, we literally had to walk through Dorking and they shut box hill. Dissapointed .
I’m going to to for the 530 with rebate over this older model.

Theres no comparison when you run them side by side and notice the speed difference

I did ride London with no problems. I started at 0612 - trick is to leave in early group to avoid issues
