New year, new you etc, or like me a chance to have great plans to get fit that never amount to anything.

The Garmin 200 is a basic but highly rated cycle computer that retails for much more than this price.

It is backlit and weatherproof, and has GPS built in.

I know Gearbest aren't everyone's cup of tea, but this price is from the EU Warehouse so no customs fees. Or you can select it from China warehouse and get a free padded cycle seat cover.

Have copied the specs below from the Gearbest listing.

Main Features:
- Built-in high sensitive GPS receiver chip, it can quickly finish your positioning
- With anti-glare screen, it can support backlight control
- Five backlighting modes: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute, 2 minutes backlighting time and normally on
- IPX7 waterproof grade, it can underwater 1 meter at 30 minutes
- Operating screen languages: Traditional Chinese and English
- Screen: 3.0 x 3.7cm (128 x 160 pixels)
- Laps record: About 1000 laps cycling information at most (dependent on memory usage)
- Memory: 4MB, about 130 hours cycling data
- Operating temperature: -20 degree centigrade to +60 degree centigrade
- Built-in 1 x 3.7V rechargeable Li-ion battery, it can work up to about 15 hours (no backlight)
- GPS positioning function
- You can real-time access to detailed cycling information, or challenge cycling routes of virtual partners
- It can present cycling route history, and cycling information
- Even manage and share records by uploading to GARMIN Connect community

Cold because it's Gearbest. They're likely to send you Chinese or US spec plugs etc and customer services just delay then ask irrelevant questions to sicken you off

From what I can determine this charges from USB so hopefully that wouldn't be a huge problem?

Can't comment on the seller, but this is a great bit of kit. Had mine for 4 years cycling in all sorts of weather and its still going strong (though a little slower to pick up reception sometimes). Its getting to be a few years old now, but can recommend it.

And yes, it does charge through USB on your computer so no issues with power cables etc.

True however it does come with a plug to charge the unit using that USB lead so if was non uk would be inconvenient and should be highlighted especially considering how old this model is now too.

Yes it's a great bit of kit but showing it's age now in all fairness

I'd really recommend paying a bit extra for the Edge 25 (and it probably won't be much extra - Aldi often have it in their sales). Whilst the Edge 200 is a good entry into GPS cycle computers, I reckon you'll soon find yourself wanting more. The 200 doesn't have an ANT+ sensor and so if you want to use a heart-rate monitor, or a speed or cadence sensor then they won't be compatible. The Edge 25 does have this compatibility.

Mine was delivered today, no plug included just a USB charging cable.

Instructions are also all in Chinese but you can download English instructions from the Garmin website.
