Excellent entry level GPS enabled cycling computer. Please note this does not work like a car sat-nav. It's designed to track your ride using GPS so you can upload to cycling apps like Strava etc. It also functions as a cycling computer showing speed, distance, ride time, average speed. No need to setup magnets like traditional cycling computers. It also comes with two mounts so you can swap easily if you have more than one bike.

Purchased yesterday in my local ALDI (Newbury). I don't know if it's nationwide but I suspect it is. It was on display in a glass cabinet for £69.99 but scanned through the till at £59.99. They got mine from a storeroom but I don't know if they had others left. I assume they would sell the one on display if it was the last one left.

The next cheapest price I can find anywhere is £79.99 if you don't count dodgy Ebay import versions.

Great if there are any left in stock, was on promo weeks ago.

I was told each store only got 4 units, Halifax sold out within 20 mins!

I find My Tracks by Google works fairly well and is free....

My local store in Ellesmere Port don't have any left, heat added though because it's a great deal if you can get your hands on one

I already use Strava on my phone but I bought this because:-
- My phone battery does not last long enough for all day rides.
- The Edge comes with 2 really good handlebar mounts & I have 2 bikes.
- The Edge is weather proof & I am more comfortable with it being exposed on the bike than I am with my phone.
- Clear, always-on display without draining the battery.
- I can upload the GPS stats to Strava.
- I don't use any of the premium features on Strava.

Before people purchase this note that the Garmin edge 500 has previously been an Amazon lightning deal going for £80. If the deal is repeated it will probably go for even less. The Garmin edge 500 is a big upgrade from the 200 as it works with a cadence and heart rate sensor.

I would recommend patience

Not much point without cadence. Cadence is really what you want at this price. Otherwise it is just a fancy speedo which you can buy for a lot less like sigma ones.

Depending how long you're out for, I found the GPS drained the battery in 3 to 4 hours, then the phone is out of action if there an emergency.

These units go all day, cant rate them enough, especially at this price.

Oh the Sigma's sound great. Please post a link for these cheaper GPS enabled Sigma ones.

I tried out my Edge 200 at the weekend on a long ride - about 5.5 hours. I wanted to see how it compared to my Smartphone so I also used the Strava app on my phone.
-The Edge 200 lost 29% of it's charge. The Phone lost 98% - it was about to shut down when I got home!
-The mount for the Edge worked really well on my bike. I had to keep my phone in my back pocket.
-The display on the Edge was on all of the time and was really easy to read in all conditions. My phones display was switched off for almost the whole ride because it was in my pocket.
-The road was wet in places but I had no worries about getting water and a bit of grime on the Edge. I would not have been happy having my phone mounted on my bike in those conditions.
-The auto pause seemed to work better on the Edge than my phone. This may be because I stopped halfway for a break. The bike was stationary but I was walking around a little with the phone in my pocket.

I was in Aldi Newbury today and they still had a boxed one on display. There may be others in the storeroom too.
