Great deal especially as Blacks gave me the worst service and non delivery of this item.

Thanks for trying but its not the same. There are a lot of variations of the Fenix 3 but the Op's watch is the much better sapphire glass with built in wrist HR.

Not the same. you got the one with a HR strap. This watch as ccaffull posted is the newer watch with build in HR

Ah. If it is the sapphire then that is an added bonus. Won't scratch nearly as easily. The built in HR is ok but is not as accurate as a chest strap apparently. Good for monitoring sleep etc though.
Just bought OP , Thanks. I didnt even have to buy the £5 membership . It stated that the 10% code could only be used with a membership card which should have added to the cart but it never did, maybe because Im having it delivered to France. I wont hold my breathe with Quidco though.
Hopefully this one will arrive as I had a real saga with the Blacks deal.
Even the standard version is awesome. Just did a tri and picked up everything perfectly. Having HR built in is a bit pointless though.
I didn't have to enter a membership card no either but thought I better put it in the listing to cover my back. Also my quidco cashback tracked straight away, not sure of the payment time frame though.
Just received quidco tracking at £20.32
A ridiculous amount of money, this will plummet over the next year or so if you have the patience!
A Tri for me mate is 10 pints, 5 bags of crisps and 2 kebabs.
Bought on the garmin site today with the HR strap for 325 using the 35% off code on gcc m.facebook.com/Glo…148

Excellent deal if you are already a member of GCC but unfortunately its no good to those of us who are not part of a team to join GCC.
I now have doubts this is sapphire. It states sapphire on the Go-Outdoors spec but not in the title.
Ive just been to the Garmin web and it states the Silver edition which this is , is only with protected domed crystal lens and 1.2 inch sunlight readable colour display.
Ive put in a cancellation request . I really want the sapphire lens which Im pretty sure this isnt now.

The silver edition is the normal (non HR) fenix 3.

The Fenix 3 HR (built in optical HR) does have the sapphire lens. (Which this is, as it has elevate tech)

Silver is the colour, not the silver performer bundle (which is the normal non HR fenix)
Plus, one last thing - GPS rumours that Fenix 4 is due early next year, just a rumour, but if you don't need one "NOW!" Might be worth hanging on a few more months

I originally thought that because it was the HR that it was obviously sapphire. But go to Garmin and you will see there are 2 versions of this HR model. And it definitely states that the silver edition HR model is only crystal. The sapphire is £479 the silver edition is £429. I am not confusing it with the basic model.

Interesting! I stand corrected. I bought one a few weeks back, and there was only the sapphire HR.

Bezel is a different colour as well!

Give them a ring and check - but doesn't look hopeful from both the picture and the garmin site
This is a non-Sapphire model of the HR.

The Sapphire models have pronounced 12 - 3 o'clock markings a la divers watch.
Non-Sapphires have uniform markings on the bezel.
Great watch though, but big! I'm finding my vivoactive HR is spending more time on my wrist than the fenix, hopefully the fenix 4 will be a bit smaller! Only needs to be by a small amount though!

...am sure there will be a ladies variant :-)

Can anyone confirm if this is sapphire or not? If not the sapphire version can be had for about 20 more
That is the not the sapphire version, the sapphire version as stated as the 12-3 o'clock markings in silver, then dark. The one in the video below the listing is the sapphire version.

I find my Vivoactive HR uncomfortable on my wrist, might just be me though.
Has anyone had this delivered yet and can confirm whether it is the Sapphire model?

I've had mine delivered and it is definitely the Silver model as shown if you select Silver from the drop down on the Garmin Product page: https://buy.garmin.com/en-GB/GB/prod545480.html

Since Sapphire isn't mentioned anywhere on the packaging then I assume it's a non-sapphire crystal as per the Garmin site: "fēnix 3 HR Silver edition with protected domed crystal lens"
