Love this watch. Bought it for 370 in march from JL, discounted due to some scratches on the buckle!
Why are there so many Garmins?? Been trying to research them to see what I need and what they offer... Head ache!!!

Do you need a fitness tracker or full GPS sport watch? What level of protection required? Golf, diving, huge amount of cash burning the wallet? How big should the watch be?
Actually, it's not that difficult, just think what you need and what design do you like. Dcrainmaker is a great place to read more about them.

It is. I have a Forerunner 235, which I love. I am starting to run longer distances and having just entered a 50 mile race need something with longer battery life. It seems when I get into the really long battery life I'm paying for music/maps/payments that I probably won't use. Lots of money for a longer battery life... I think I've read and watched everything in dcrainmaker now, hence the head ache!! I've had Garmins for years, and really like their website/app interface, but the Suunto's are calling....

Why not something from previous generation of Fenix, e.g. 5 or even 3hr?

I'd go for a Fenix 5 if you don't want music, Garmin Pay etc,
The reason I think it is so confusing is not only due to the volume of reviews out there but also the commentary/UX that sits around them e.g. older models out performing newer in certain categories. When spending this sort of cash I tend to do my homework, so I guess this is self inflicted confusion, info overload/wood for trees. None the less, surely newer better than older, ordered!!
