Are they a trusted company? The reason I ask is that my last Garmin watch failed after 3 years and I contacted Amazon and mentioned consumer law and I received a refund no questions asked. I am in the market for a 5 Plus, but I also would rather pay a bit extra and buy from a company where there will be no hassle in the future.
They are an official dealer for Garmin as far as i can see, as well as being told that on the phone by one of their employees. Hope that helps? Dig a little deeper if possible to ease your worries

The OP is for the Fenix plus a whole new ball game.
Seems like a decent deal for the 5 Plus range, bearing in mind they were only released about 6 weeks ago. Would expect to see the 'regular' 5 price come down though, so need to decide if the mapping features are worth paying extra for the Plus. Does anyone have experience?
Ill let you know once mine arrives.
On paper its pretty much everything i could want in a watch.... fingers crossed

I have this....it’s an amazing watch, I love it!
Tempted, but the weight on these is too heavy for me, having been used to a 920xt for a few years. Shame they don’t have the titanium for sale (although that’s even more expensive!)

I know that thought I’d post to this thread as a heads up rather than create another garmin watch thread

Try not to let it concern you. These watches rarely get the heat they deserve. people just see the price and vote cold without knowledge and others are, well, just sheeple and vote cold because it is already cold.Lets face it, we dont actually get anything from obtaining heat apart from a pat on the back. Im sure anyone who wants this watch will see it and be greatful for your post.
I have the 5X and love it so I'm pretty sure you will love your 5 plus , the NFC functionality is a great addition aswell as the memory for the music. I didnt like the 5 that much compared to my 3HR so waited for the 5X but the 5 plus is definitely a worthy upgrade and I cant wait for the 5X plus.
Ordered. Thanks
I ordered mine on Tuesday & it was showing out of stock, with a 7-10 day delivery time. Its arriving today. I cant fault that service

I just couldnt justify the extra money for the 5X Plus to be honest. Ive apparently got more important things to spend the money on (as our lass reminds me constantly ) as we've just moved house.... though i still managed the 5 plus as a house warming gift to myself
Curious as to why this is so expensive compared to maybe a Samsung offering at £300ish ?

Admittedly its an expensive watch which is attributed to its supply and demand . The Garmin Fenix whether it be the 3HR or the latest 5 Plus it at the top of the league, its not a gimmick watch that offers sport functions as a bonus it simply is an all out sports watch. The only other watch that will come close will be a suunto. What Samsung is it that you think you can compare at £300. Id like to see whats its like as I dont mind being pursuaded otherwise.

I don't know if it will compare on features etc but I had been looking at a Samsung classic or frontier and was just wondering what the extra cost of a gamin gets you.

Well it arrived the morning as stated, 2 days after ordering. Which was impressive considering it was showing out of stock with a 7-10 waiting time. So as far as shop service goes, 1st class!
First impressions of the watch are that i love it. I love the fact that i just put on my trekz titanium headphones and off i go, no phone, nothing, and music or podcasts playing. So for me, thats huge.
Only had a little play about with the maps when out on a short bike ride (7 miles) with the bairns, but gps seemed accurate and directed us correctly. Battery life didn't do anything bad after a coupe of shortish runs and a bike ride (like some have reported), so ill just have to wait on that and see if its consistent. Haven't had the 'powerdrain' that others have reported.
Garmin pay is a bit of a diddle at the moment as not many UK banks have signed up, so it looks like im going to have to open up an account with one of the banks to use that service. A pain, but worthwhile imo for what it gives me.
Playing golf next week so will report back on that one, however, from what i've seen it looks like a pretty basic golfing watch, which im a little disappointing at, but ill withhold judgement till then.
Ill report back later when ive had it a little while, but after a weeks use, my first impressions are very positive!

I think the 5Plus makes the regular 5 a much better, the battery life is naff when I was testing it

Well i am impressed by this watch and am certainly not going to return it.

Listening to music off it is awesome, no need for my phone anymore - this does drain the battery mind, but thats not unexpected!

Garmin pay is awesome.... especially when im out for a run and come to pub where i may or may not fancy a cheeky pint or 2
Bit annoying initially as i had to open a Starling Bank account, though it turned out this was dead easy to do and zero hassle. Shame all banks dont adopt this, but nevermind.

Accuracy on the GPS is good and seems accurate. Fix is pretty quick, not sure if its any quicker than my old (rip) Forerunner 235 though?

The battery drain is pretty much what it says in the book aswell. I have suffered post activity drain once since ive had this watch and it was after id played golf (dropped an extra 6%?). Barring that, its been as per the Garmin specs. The one thing i have noticed is that my phones battery seems to be taking a hit, not sure whether thats just the age of the phone or its directly linked to the watch, as it was starting to wain before i picked the watch up?
Worth noting however, that some people have experienced bad battery life, so far (fingers crossed) i havent.

Played golf with it twice now, and to be honest its a bit basic to what ive seen on other specialist Golf watches (from memory). It did however, show me all the information i required, but sadly not on the one screen. I had to scroll down, which isnt a deal breaker, but a tad annoying. But having said that, it did exactly as required and then updated my phone with the shots i played on the holes graphically. I love this. I need to learn how to use it for golf but overall am pleased and it saves me buying a dedicated golfing watch. So worthwhile imo, but probably should be better due to the cost, but then that would eradicate specialist golf watches i guess.

Appearance wise its still pristine. No scratches or damage and ive never had it off my wrist whilst grafting or working in the garden.

Very happy and very impressed
Whether its worth an upgrade over the Fenix 5 i doubt, but over older models, definitely
