Best price I've seen this. It's a lot of watch, but Still a lot of money for me to personally spend.
That's a better price than the Blacks / Millets glitch! Heat

Has it completely stopped working or innacurate readings?
The barometric altimeter has limitations.

"Barometric Altimeter Accuracy of Compatible Outdoor Devices
With proper calibration, the barometric altimeter of an outdoor watch or handheld will report elevation readings ranging from -2,000 to 30,000 feet within +/-50 feet of accuracy. Elevation values greater than 30,000 feet can be generated, but may not be accurate due to environmental factors."

" Fluctuations in weather produce the most significant changes in air pressure. For example, when a storm is moving in, the sudden drop in air pressure may simulate the effects of moving to a higher elevation. Similarly, changes in air pressure occur when moving from indoors to outdoors and vice versa, particularly when moving in and out of climate-controlled buildings"

" When a button is pressed, the altimeter will lock for three seconds. Calibration by GPS is accurate to +/-400 feet."

It remains at 200000m+ or zero
My last one was refunded by wiggle that stuck at zero throughout mtb bike rides

Damn, that sucks.
Was gonna say there was better help here in the comment responses but probably not relevant.

Does anyone know which features the 5+ won't have in comparison to the 6 Pro?

I'm waiting for the 6x Pro to go under £500, but this would still £200 cheaper than that, so I'm trying to work out what am I supposed to be getting for the extra money.

I’ve had 4 garmin watches shattered the screen in two and the third broke and now my fourth broke, I got it at John Lewis with 2 year accidental cover, a no brainier at £16

DC Rainmaker often has very comprehensive reviews.
Product comparison table with links to full reviews at the bottom.

Amazing price - Thats the same as I paid from John Lewis (for a 5s plus), but that was a return and this is a new one!
Absolutely love it. Battery lasts best part of a week, screen always on - music+pay (not used either of those, but have ordered a curve card for the pay). Really good for running, and looking forward to using it for some hikes later in the year.

I See Amazon have price matched, but I'd buy from John Lewis given the choice.

This watch is arguably better than the 6, and only slightly beaten by the 6 Pro (which adds the pulseOx sensor, ski-maps, a bit better battery + a number of smaller improvements.) All that is good stuff, but in my opinion not worth an extra £200+ on top of this. You may think otherwise.

Thanks to the other person who posted the comparison link, very helpful. And also thanks for this comment because I was coming to the same conclusion but wanted to know if I was missing anything. I can live without pulseox for £200 more in my pocket. I think getting it from Amazon is just as good as their Cs is still excellent

And just to add 6 is slightly thinner and the screen is slightly larger. Again not a £200 difference
Good price for a great watch. I was tempted and looking to upgrade my Suunto, but ideally looking for the 5X or 6X for maximum battery life.
Great price.

But £299 for a watch to tell me.. TRAINING STATUS : UNPRODUCTIVE, FITNESS : DOWN.

I used to think the same and then my account got hacked - their Customer Service was then worse than hopeless - I haven't ordered from them for over a year, would rather pay more elsewhere.

I can't find the Amazon price match anymore, I think it's gone back up.

I thought the Millets glitch had an extra 20% off code as well meaning this would have been £280. Correct me if I’m wrong.

40147731-rmXp5.jpgIt's "reduced" to £420 with a 20% discount now. Might be worth trying to get them to match John Lewis and bring it down to £269.10

It was £349 with the extra off. The Fenix 5 was £235 iirc
Awesome deal and thank you for posting I’ve managed to get a price match with Millets

Yeah I’ve noticed they’ve really price rocketed on cover, actually it was only £15

One thing to note (which I didn't appreciate when I bought my Forerunner 645 towards the end of last year), is that should make sure you're happy with features this watch has now. Garmin is very unlikely to bring any new features from the 6 like PacePro etc to the old watches (even if they're not hardware dependent) - it's quite different from say how Apple work.

This is still a great deal, just something to be aware of.
Think I got the last one!
Thanks OP that is a bargain back up to £439.99 now.
