This is my first post so I apologise if I haven't followed some of the etiquette but hopefully the deal will make up for it although, it is Sweatshop which is owned by Mike Ashley, of Sports Direct shame.

I can't honestly vouch for this running watch since I've never used one but all the reviews seem positive, it's £65 less than Amazon is selling it for right now and Garmin have a pretty good track record in the market. I've been on the look out for a good deal for the last few months and this is by far the best I have found.

Both the black/red and white/purple were available when I looked last.

There is a new model (forerunner 230) that has just come on the market so there may be more sales in the future but this still seems like an excellent deal.

Product details here - sweatshop.co.uk/gar…244

Sale price on Sweatshop website is currently £99.99

discount code - 9100000000671 - for 20% off

Shipping £5 to collect in store but you then get a £5 voucher to spend in store (on your next purchase)

It's completely unjustifiable and 99% of the time is enough to put me off ordering from them but when I feel like I'm getting such a good deal it doesn't seem quite as bad.
It is a nice watch, and a good price for it, I've had one for a while.
Pretty quick to get a GPS fix, and fairly accurate. Works fine for running, all of the usual features, including intervals and alerts, pretty good battery life. And has Bluetooth to connect to a phone for uploading.

Yes, there is a newer Forerunner 230, but it seems that doesn't actually add much, apart from a step counter and phone notifications. Or there are versions with built in heart rate monitors (225 or 235), but I think a separate heart rate monitor usually works better.
great watch gutted, I paid £120 back in November
Cheers and bought, thx matey

The 230 and 235 have a 40% bigger display. If your not fussed on heart monitoring your better off getting the deal posted for the 220, otherwise the 235 is a far superior watch but only if you need the smart watch functions, wrist heart rate monitoring and the new bigger display.
All that said, heat added for this. Top watch for under a ton.

Its annoying when with the discount code makes a item the cheapest about but once you add on postage it ruins the discount.

Should be free on £100+ spends
i had one of these for over a year, a decent watch, great for automatically syncing with your phone and strava, no hassles.

Sold it eventually , and bought a cheap £45 tomtom runner, which is more accurate with 1 sec gps recording, compared with smart ( 2-6 second) on the garmin.

But the syncing on the tomtom is rubbish via the phone ( samsung s6)
Thank you, ordered one, I have been waiting and hoping Amazon would do January deals on these, so this deal has made me a very happy bunny

Its way over priced, you can nearly get the garmin 230 for 160-170, which is a lot better watch.

The 220 should be 80-100 now, its been out ages. still a good watch, i had one for a year.
