This is a latest model from Garmin not long released, I have been keeping an eye on this watch for a while but missed it in a recent deal on here. As a *student* with a NUS/Totum card I noticed they had up to 40% off Garmin so this is across other models and products if you fancy something else, including the non music version for £187.49. I can't see this watch anywhere else for this price, probably the cheapest it has been. No delivery fee.

If you don't already have a NUS card there are plenty threads/deals on this site on how to get one. I use mine for student Prime and a few other regular discounts.

Hope this helps someone, by all accounts this is a great running watch/activity tracker.

To the moderator who is editing this, the price is £224.99. Why change it to £249.99?
Now I don't have the option to edit this and someone has decided to change it to £299.99? What is the point, I give up. The price is £224.99 for anyone interested, this deal has been changed from what it actually is for some reason and I can't edit it.
Also, the moderator responsible has changed the link which now takes you to Garmin directly which means it will not work. you have to go to the link I posted which is on the Totum website otherwise it is pointless going directly to Garmin site.
I bought it at £224 with this deal a few weeks ago, good saving for anyone after it, not sure why it's expired?
Ah, not expired, price still wrong though :/ :/

I tried to expire it while I still had the ability due to them changing the post incorrectly but the moderators have taken that away from me as well, after the ability to edit was removed. But yes, it is a cracking price. Mine just got delivered today so looking forward to testing it out.

Yeah, nothing I can do about it either. All control of this deal have been removed from me.

Hi. Is this newer than the 945 model that was posted last week do you know?
Do you need to pay for a Totum card to get this deal?

Hi, that I couldn't tell you. I think they are both the latest models in their respective ranges. The 245 does not have as many features as the 945 hence the big price difference. I think the 245 is a great running watch though if that is what you are looking for.

Yes, check this thread out. It can be used for various other discounts also.

Both launched at same time to my knowledge
How easy is it to create playlists on this? I use amazon music and don't see it listed, so guessing I'll need to download it all manually.

Does this support garmin pay?

From what I can tell, it is either Deezer or Spotify(what I use) or load your own tracks on but it may be possible to add other services I am not sure. This watch does not have Garmin Pay, you would need the 645 if that was a necessity which can be had for £262.49, however that is an older model although fairly identical in looks but with a metal bezel.

Thanks. Says up to 40% off. Is it confirmed 40% for the 245?

It's actually only 25% for this watch, unfortunately. Still the cheapest it can be bought for.

The watches now support Amazon Music. You create the playlists on your music app. You then tick which ones you want to sync on the watch. dcrainmaker.com/201…tml
hi,
can someone in the know help?
I'm looking for a watch but much more basic than this one, and cheaper. all I want it to do is track 3 things on a run. distance, time and pace (time per KM?). is there a reliable, accurate watch that does this?
thank you.

You could try the Polar M430, which can be had for £120 ish I think so half the cost of this. That is brand new, you could go for a second hand version of that or another watch to lower the price again. I have just upgraded to this garmin from the Polar M400, which was a great watch, flawless over 5 years of use. I used a heart rate monitor strap with it but the upgraded model, the M430 has a built in HRM. I have just sold my old M400 for £50 to give you an idea of cost used. It is a very basic watch but great for running. I just fancied a change after 5 years.

Garmin 230 and 235 do this perfectly. A bit old now but reliable and decent - have been on here very cheap lately.

I'd get something like a used Tomtom Runner/Multisport off ebay - £30 ish
I have had one for years and find it great
I tried to register with Totum, as in the link above (hotukdeals.com/dea…237). I got as far as the payment page, but for some reason my card wasn't being accepted. Tried a couple of times, to no avail, then went back to the Totum home page, and realised I now have an account on there, and can click on the link through to Garmin. Managed to order this at the discounted price, without having paid for the card. Not recommending others do this, obviously....

Hi, please can you check if it's still 25% off now it's reduced to £220? I'll get my youngest a card if it is!

Thanks
Hi, could someone explain to me how it works with the student discount? I'm French but I could use the student discount through my roommate!
Is it 25% off the current price, which is £270?
