Solid basic running watch. No advanced training effect metrics or training programs built in but you can set custom intervals to for hiit. Battery life is solid. Sleep tracing is a joke though.
It's basic but I hardly use any of the functions on my much more expensive 735. Fantastic entry price for a runner

On the basis that you "like the idea of a smartwatch" I'd go Vivo 3 as its more of an all day wearable. Everything else is running/tri focused.
