Good price for anyone who missed the black friday deal
Cracking watch for an amateur athlete. Does open water swimming and triathlon.
Very good price but you'll probably want the heart rate strap if you want accurate data. The wrist one is OK for things like sleep tracking but hopeless for running.
Short battery life vs 235?
Is this Better than the 645 music?

This device is fine bought the green one on Black Friday. The only problem which annoys me is the screen is very dark at night, the backlight is low probably to save battery but still annoying how you can’t adjust the brightness

Back in Africa when Kipchoge was an amateur the other athletes were jealous because Mighty Mo sent him an early Garmin GPS watch. Thanks to this technology he became pro and conquered the world.

/sarcasm. Hehe yeah its a nifty device but I bet just as many non running materialists will buy one, cuz for the average runner this is bling albeit far more useful than their silly activity trackers lol.

No. The 645 music is a more recent model and has some features the 735XT or 235 don't have. The 645 music is also a lot more money though I've seen it for £175 without music. If you don't need the on board music storage and the banking app either the 735XT or 235 will do a good job to track your running.

Different people get different results with wrist based HRM. I find it perfectly fine for running, less good for cycling outside, almost useless indoors. Most of the time people don't have the strap tight enough.
Delivery after Christmas now. 28th Dec at earliest.
Cheap cos Uses gps for altitude and compass

735 is triathlon watch ,

If yo prefer music instead go for 645
Have had this watch for a few years now, its great and does everything ive ever wanted in a multisport watch. never been tempted to upgrade more so as its mature in terms of garmin firmware updates and currently bug free - wont be trading that for a newer bug ridden model
Thanks Pavan!!! Good deal and I got one!!

Not necessarily a bad thing as I have had to return both a garmin 920 & 935 due to the dreaded garmin barometer issues

Completely agree, I had a forerunner 235 for a few weeks and the heart rate monitor on that was very poor, telling me I had a testing pulsar rate of 35-40 (it's more like 50)....
What is this like for getting a gps and grid ref for hiking etc
Had mine since June 18. Used mainly for running but more recently indoor swimming. Great watch. Had an issue where vibrate stopped working after about 13 months, 2 year warranty so they replaced it for me really quickly. Recommended!
