What's the model number? Or is this an Aldi exclusive?

Sorry don't know the model number but its GARMIN and will be selling by ALDI

Do these Germin Sat Navs come with an English voice too?

garmins usually all multi-lingual

Would appear to look like a nuvi-2597LMT

Would be a cracking deal if it is - these normally sell for up to twice that price.

Edit: It's actually only nuvi-2597LM - so without the live traffic updates for life

The traffic update is only via Bluetooth on your phone, so I suspect this is the 2597LM rather than the LMT which is able to get traffic updates without using your phone. Still, £30 better than the Amazon price.

Does anyone know how much mobile data usage you can expect from using your phone for traffic updates?

The Aldi offer is for the Nuvi 2597lm. This is currently on offer at Amazon, and Halfords for £ 120, at Maplin at £ 130 and from Garmin themselves at £ 170. It is the LM version (free maps and not the LMT (also has free traffic updates - but you can apparently link with your smartphone to get these)

Yes, confirmed this is for the 2597LM model

Traffic is available via suitable bluetooth enabled smartphone ... but if you are using one of those, wouldn't you use it as a satnav anyway?

Which is better (and why)?

The above Garmin model, or the equivilent TomTom model which is also £89.99 at Argos?

Purchased. Can confirm its the 2597LM so not the lifetime Traffic updates but this can be accessed via Bluetooth from a smartphone. Sells consistently for around £109-£119 at other retailers so this is a good buy and a Hot Deal. Have bought Garmin Sat Nav from Aldi before and have been very satisfied with the product.

Do you need to pay for a subscription to receive the traffic updates or is it free via your smartphone?

It is the 2597lm,bought one today, very pleased with the price

Why is this not hot when it's 30£ cheaper then anywhere else?

Maybe some Aldi snobbery going on?

Tried two Aldis today but already gone

I got mine off Caterham aldi, the chap asked me how many you do you want - just the one please.
