thoughts on this being better than buying it from CEX with their 2 year guarantee? (A grade is £70 and b is £62 as far as i can see)

Longer warranty with CeX so I'd go with the B-grade from them to be honest. If it's in bad shape you can return for free and try again.

I got a Fenix 7SS from them a couple months ago, it was only B-grade because it was missing the box. Other than that it was immaculate and £300 cheaper than new at the time. (edited)

Without O2 sensor 7 - 9 days including notifications from your phone etc.
With O2 sensor enabled about 3 days.

Got to be the best smartwatch I’ve owned and that’s coming from a series 7 Apple Watch. Buy this because you won’t regret it. Great find OP

    Will this work with iOS
    Gorskar's avatar
Yes. Although I think replying to messages (with standard responses) is an android only feature due to ios limitations

Is this the version where you can cycle music ?
    Gorskar's avatar
You can control music that playing on your Bluetooth connected smartphone.

But you don't have any built-in storage for music on this model (for playing music when not connected to a phone, either synced from a music service like Spotify/amazon or your own mp3 files)

You need the "venu sq music" for that (edited)

Nice surprise to find this works with the current £5 off £15 offer. As that excludes Warehouse deals, I expected it to exclude Renewed as well. Ordered.

How does this compare to some of the "tracker" type products like a Mi Band or Fitbit charge? I'm actually not too fussed about GPS tracking but I am interested in all day heart/spo2 tracking, sleep tracking and other general health metrics. I work out in the gym mostly...

Check the reviews it’s quiet accurate. In fact when going doctors and comparing the two: it was only two heart beats off.

    Thanks OP, took the plunge.

I kept looking at Apple Watches but couldn’t face needing to charge a watch everyday

    The good news:

My Venu SQ arrived today. I've got an Apple watch ultra, so you might think it's an unfair comparison but I was pleasantly surprised with the accuracy - I did a 10 min walk with each on my wrists. This Garmin was within 3 calories of the Apple watch, heart rate was within 1 beat.

    The not so good:

After charging to 100%, the watch was down to 97% within about 10 mins. I've got a bad feeling the watch wont make even 1 full day, but we'll see. If I get 3-4 days I'll keep it, otherwise it's fairly useless for my lifestyle.

EDIT: 3 hours 30 mins in and it has lost 7%. I suspect this thing only has 50~ (2 days ish) of battery life in it. Nowhere near the 80% battery health Amazon renewed is supposed to have

EDIT #2: Watch has 80% battery at 9am. 20% loss in 13 hours. That's with no exercise tracking either. It's on track to last just 2 days. Sending it back for a refund. (edited)

Battery life on these were pretty reasonable so I suspect that you have a dud or, more likely, this is a three year old watch with a three year old battery which is bound to have reduced battery capacity.

On a separate note, I don't think comparison with an Apple watch can be used to judge it's accuracy at measuring calorie count or heart rate. Apple watches are not really known for their fitness tracking. If you want to judge a watch's wrist based HRM then you really need to compare with a chest strap. If that HRM is accurate and you have told the watch your weight then the calorie count is a simple enough calculation. (edited)
