Does this watch look as bad as the pictures in real life!?

Does this watch look as bad as the pictures in real life!?

Unfortunately it does look quite ugly. The normal Vivoactive 3 looks much nicer. I bought this not long after it came out and ended up returning it as it developed a fault with the heart rate sensor after 2 months. I feels very plasticky and light, I had the Forerunner 235, which is also plastic and light but feels more premium. Also the screen plastic is curved at the edges making it hard to get any sort of protector if you're that way inclined. The drag and drop music worked well. Spotify wasn't active when I had it so cant comment on how it works now.

I have the non music one, the watch itself looks good and modern and sleak compared to an apple watch but you should look in shop

The biggest thing to accept is the screen isn't as vibrant as an apple watch. It appears to have a clever design where outside light enhances the brightness and colours on it.

The best part though is the battery on mine lasts 5-6days without having to be charged.

Only available for pickup and none in the closest 36shops to my location. Typical Currys "deal" - Was available in my shop to buy at 219.99 the other week as I was looking at purchasing it.....
This was £160 at amazon the other week. I know there is no time machine but this doesn't strike me as a particularly great deal.

After BC and employer discount I picked the non-music version up for £110 at Halfords.

Wait if you can.
Personally love this watch, battery is great and being able to use spotify/ deezer through it was a massive plus for me.

I agree the non version one is slightly more premium in appearance but the metal wouldn't feel great after a long run so I think it's perfect for use if used properly

Heat from me!

It's available at curry's ebay for 199 with free delivery: ebay.co.uk/itm…8d0

Can anyone comment on the GPS accuracy of this watch. I have an amazfit pace which is just ok for accuracy and I'm looking for something a bit more precise. Having read around seems like GPS accuracy isn't one of the strong points of this watch?

Check - dcrainmaker.com/ - he reviews a lot of fitness watches etc with really in depth insights into HR accuracy and GPS accuracy.
Amazon appear to be price matching now. Though with the five quid eBay voucher applied Curry's is the better deal.

Thanks for that. Accuracy seems ok.

Hesitating between this and the Forerunner 245 music (300 quid). The 245 seems to be better for GPS lock and accuracy and also has audible alerts (eg. "your pace is blah").
I'm not a super serious runner (20-30k or so a week), but I hate the my current watch takes ages to lock on to the satellites and then cuts corners when I look on strava).

Having said that, the Vivoactive 3 does have garmin pay which might come in handy.

Might wait for the VA3 Music to come down in price though.

EDIT: Just discovered that you can get the 245 Music for 269.99 when you use code DCR10BTF on clevertraining.co.uk. I think I might just pull the trigger on that, even though it's way more than I initially wanted to spend.

Only problem you have there is Clever Training have no stock. I emailed them about the 245 yesterday.

"I am contacting you in regards to the Garmin 245, I have been in contact with our head office about delivery dates for the product and they have responded saying we aren’t getting as many units as anticipated this week, they haven’t specified the number of units we are getting but they have stated there won't be many. There was no date specified for the next batch of Garmins.

I sincerely apologise for the delay and inconvenience this has caused."

Assuming you're in no rush for it then it's a good deal.

I've ordered it already! I knew it was out of stock. I'm in no rush so it's fine if it doesn't arrive for a while.

Thanks.

VA3 Music now available at Argos for £149. Sandstone version, but what you actually get is the black one in the box with a spare sandstone strap.
