Anyone ever used this watch for golf?

Yeah but found it hard to strike the ball. Best using a golf club imo.

Thanks @ML6
I've edited the title to include key words e.g 'Smart' 'Watch'. These things help with duple spotting, category assigning, and letting the members know what the product is.
Looks good, even better than the NUS discount from Garmin.
Great price, paid £230 from Amazon a week ago. Love the watch but having trouble connecting to my phone, so will return to Amazon and buy this. Many thanks
Cracking price.

Which phone do you have difficulty connecting to?

Which phone do you have difficulty connecting to?

It's a P20 pro. Did a bit of googling and it appears to be a random problem with some watches, but couldn't find anything specific.

Not a random problem at all. It's a Bluetooth problem with any Huawei phone. I've had the Mate 10 & P20 pro and my wife has an Honor 10 and neither of our watches (Fenix Sapphire 3 HR & Vivoactive move) get any notifications. Garmin now about it and so do Huawei still no fix.
Reserved one for delivery to local Argos on Wednesday.
Great price! thanks OP

Ah right, cheers for that.

With this one you get the black watch that is much more expensive and a spare sandstone strap. It sounds ridiculous but it really it is the case - see my picture above.

Thanks, sorry I tried to list it quickly before dashing out the door to pick one up before close!
Cheapest I have seen music version. This is a great price for a great watch. I paid this price for non-music version a while ago and I'm very happy with it.

I had the same issue with P20 pro but managed to resolve it, i'll try and get back to you on the fix but start with updating the devices firmware and checking permissions.

To fix this with my Mate 20, search for "Special Apps" on the settings menu, then select "Notification Access" Once I enabled Garmin connect notifications worked fine.

I've got an Honor 10. It took me a while but i figured out you need to change the Garmin Connect app launch status to "manual", in the Android settings. Now my connection to my Garmin Vivoactive 3 Music is perfect. Not sure if this is the same issues you are having but hope this might help.
Love my watch picked up this offer for £180 a few months back from Argos. Battery life is great and being able to use Deezer/ Spotify on it was a massive selling point for me!

Looks like a great deal, thanks!
I have a gear sport which is simply dreadful for running and the Spotify app on it is terrible, so am hoping that it is better on this!
Can anyone who has this tell me what the gps tracking and Spotify apps are like? Thanks!

I have an NUS card and am looking to buy the new Garmin 245 Music (currently out of stock) . Do you know if the discount applies to all their watches? If so, what is the discount?

I've just had a look on the NUS page but the 245 doesn't seem to be discounted, the ones that are seem to be quite variable so hard to tell what any discount would be.

Thanks! Wasn't sure if they have a discount for every single watch. The 245 has only been out for a few weeks, so it's possible it's not listed.

It’s on the site it just has no discount
I have the 245 Music on preorder from clevertraining.co.uk. 10% off using the code DCR10BTF brings it down to £269.99. Still a lot more expensive than this deal (which I'm tempted by), but I think it might just be worth the extra.
I got the non music version early last year and while it's far from perfect (some annoying design flaws that Garmin refuse to fix) it is a good watch. So much so for £150 I'm tempted to get this for the offline spotify play. Great deal

What's extra in the 245. Trying to make the same choice
How accurate are the yoga and strength training apps?
I got the non music version a few weeks ago. I was initially disappointed in the screen I was expecting it to be better due to images on line. It is actually great outside as it is tranflective, very bright. Inside, not great and the backlight does not make it that much better. The choice of watch face helps. Due to this though, the battery lasts about a week so the trade off is ok.
Great watch battery life is good too
How's the Spotify on this?

I would check out DC Rainmakers reviews. They're in depth. Personally I would go for the 245, but purely because I do a lot of running. If you don't run then the 245 wouldn't be for you.

I believe it has more features for the serious runner. How many of these I'd use I don't know. It has buttons, which are better than a touchscreen for running. It has a newer GPS chip. Also has audio prompts through headphones, which I use on my current watch.

That said the vivoactive has garmin pay, which the 245 doesn't have (though it currently doesn't support my bank) . Vivoactive also has golf tracker integrated, which the 245 doesn't have.

I think the major thing for me might be the more accurate GPS (and faster to lock on to satellites). My current watch (amazfit Pace) cuts corners on GPS, so I'm looking for something more accurate.
Thanks op, ordered. Tried to order through eBay page but kept failing for some reason
