It has been at this price on Amazon before but currently £180 and £180+ everywhere. Decent all round sports/fitness watch with GPS, waterproof, phone sync and heart rate monitor.

Good price for the item but from research the hr on this is highly inaccurate through out high intensity exercise , good for daily use bur a hr strap is advised otherwise.

Thanks, ordered.

Got one and find it really useful on a day to day basis as well as for the days on the bike when I don't need to use my Garmin Edge but be warned about ordering from Decathlon as they're getting panned at the moment - check out the reviews on their own site or Trustpilot - for failure to deliver direct, to their own stores or an Asda and you can't trust their online store stock levels either.

If you can walk in store and pick one up then great but I wouldn't rely on Decathlon to deliver.

How long do you find the battery life while out cycling?

I can't remember exactly but using the activity apps, which record gps data, for a couple of hours a day I'd get about four days. Just using it to record basic data (steps/climbing/heart rate) about 10 days so Garmin's ball park figure of 8 days seems about right.

I'm afraid I can't help you there as I've not used one and so far haven't picked up any scratches in 8 months.

Great, thanks. All the reviews online sound positive so I'm going to get one. Thanks!

P.S. John Lewis just price matched this in Leeds. Cheers, op. #heat

showing back in stock today, visited local Go Outdoors and got it for £143.10 thanks to their price promise to beat by 10%.

Got JL to price match, as was back in stock briefly. Was going to go GoOutdoors, but had a load of JL vouchers to shift.

So far really liking the watch, replacing a 910XT for my day to day use, but wish the screen was a bit more hi-res and the HR bump a little less protruding.

Cheers, OP.

The go outdoors price match sounds awesome! Do they have the xl size and will they match it at the same price? Decathlon don't seem to specify what size they are selling.

Weirdly I don't think they actually come in a size... I had this confusion buying mine. The watch has loads of holes so would fit a twig up to a large branch...

Tracked 3 walks on the GPS (one was 5 hours) and worn it 3 days and still has half battery. Decent watch. Uploads straight to Strava too and MyFitnessPal too.

They come in regular and XL. Only difference is the strap length. 99% of shops will be selling the regular. You can get the XL direct from Garmin.

If you need the XL, you could buy the regular VAHR from GO for £143, and then an XL band for £22 from Amazon.

Really liking my watch so far, sold a Garmin 910XT as wanted something with GPS and could be worn daily. It's a bit bulkier than would be ideal, but forget I am wearing it after a while. The only thing I would like to change, which the Fenix 5 seems to address, is reducing the HR bump, as if you cinch the watch down too far, it can get a little bit uncomfortable.

Is there a way to pause a workout rather than stop it does anybody know?

Essentially when you press the start/stop button it's paused. Ignore all the stuff that pops up on screen, like the screen asking if you want to save or discard the activity, and press the start/stop button again, it will resume the activity.

So it goes:

1. Press start/stop (the right side button)
2. The red square appears, then the screen with the cross and tick where you can save or discard activity.
3. Just press start/stop button again, and it dismisses this screen and restarts your activity.

You can also turn on auto-pause from the activities menu. Although that can be less precise.

Also, for anyone looking for some decent screen protectors, I just got these delivered. Had the same brand on my 910XT, and held up pretty well.
