Been on the look out for this and it has now dropped below £90 at Laptops Direct.

Might help someone else too perhaps.

Cheapest I've seen it for a while, just take into account delivery costs. Hot.

Just seen those actually. Still less than Currys in total, but not as good a deal as it first appears. Perhaps wait until Autumn for better deals if you can wait.

Prefer the surge to this as more accurate and no need to add manual step count over distance calculation - shame the surge has strap defects

Had the surge and kept having sync issues. Fitbit kept sending me replacements before finally paying me my money back. I currently have the Vivoactive which I really rate. On the look out for this version for my Mrs. Gonna wait until Autumn.

I've got one of these, the later model with GPS (Vivosmart HR+). Amazing device though it gives me nasty 'Fitbit rash.' but I am learning to live with this problem.

I had one of these and thought it was horrendous! I didnt like the no maps , and it wasnt very accurate upgraded to the forerunner 25 which currys were doing at £89.99 and its tonnes better maybe worth a look for others who want a bit better

So why would you buy this massively overpriced thing from a dead company instead of a Mi Band?

Will this show the top sprint speed i reached when playing soccer for example?

I have the vivosmart and after a year it has started losing lines in the display making it hard to read which appears to be a problem with the brand

I'm not sure Garmin is dead. They have a strong portfolio. I do agree with you about the Mi band though. Most of my friends who have FitBit are complaining that they fall apart, and the technology is moving so fast, I wouldn't pay more than £50 for a device that will probably be replaced within a year.

I have the Mi band and I'm not overly convinced its readings are accurate. I had a jawbone up before and it seemed to provide a more accurate picture (less steps/better sleep pattern info) Its good for $12 but I'm sure these others are better

I got my wife one of these £17

there is simply no need to pay a stupid amount at all, the Chinese are showing how much you get ripped off, this one has notifications, alarms, calorie, all of the Garmin features, heartbeat etc, you can even use it to take pictures

Had this but ended up swapping it out for a £30 Mi Band 2. The Garmin's HR readings are all over the place, the vibration is incredibly jarring and it's relatively bulky too. Never been a fan of the software either (coming from an Edge 510 and Forerunner 310XT owner)

Apparently is compatible with Apple, Android and Windows 10 phones. See lists here: support.garmin.com/faq…pP9

Good find. It's now £12.72. You should post it as a separate deal and see what the rest of the HDUK community thinks.

Features-wise it ticks all the boxes and half the price of the budget xiaomi band 2 but from the few reviews available, the weakest link appears to be the software, although from one review, the last updates has improve its accuracy somewhat. At this price, it's worth a shot for my first fitness tracker.

Not sure how you claim Garmin is dead, their product lineup and support exceeds many others and they are the 'go-to' brand for fitness watches for running, cycling and triathlon. Maybe not so good for pure fitness/tracker products but these are almost fad-like anyway, if all you want is a step-counter with some basic added functionality then a MiBand is fine (though I did wear one alongside a Fitbit and preferred the Fitbit) - you have to ask why Fitbit, Misfit, etc all do so well selling their products if the MiBand is that much better.
