I wasn't going to vote either way, so will vote hot to balance it out
I wish I'd put a Keepa alert on this.
Got this from my camelcamelcamel alert, but last week it was £110 as a lightening deal for a few days - I presume as part of Prime Day/s?

And the Garmin Index scales were £80! Cheapest ever. Would have snapped both up.

Ordered this anyway. Wish it would track swimming though.

However, I read that Garmin customer support sucks?

Read that Fitbit customer support was very good. Some reviews state the band breaks etc. - and it's not user replaceable. The impression I get is that Fitbit would just give you a new one, but Garmin wouldn't.

Anybody know?

Thought I'd go with the Garmin ecosystem, but if Fitbit is a lot better in that regard they may make more sense.

I've been tempted by this for a while but negative reviews due to failing straps and poor Garmin support have put me off so far. Fitbit on the other hand seem very willing to provide replacements due to crappy straps (the Surge springs to mind). If only they'd release a Charge 3 with waterproofing and GPS.

Yep... Fitbit customer service is superb!!
I got one as a gift and the band began to come away... contacted Fitbit who simply replaced the entire unit with a brand new one.... since then they have changed the design and models and they now have interchangeable bands. The replaced Fitbit became faulty after I accidentally banged my wrist against a gate whilst running..I contacted Fitbit being truthful and admitted it was my fault and they still replaced it again with a brand new unit!!
Unfortunately I don’t think the build quality on Fitbit is as good as Garmin which I now own after he screen on my Fitbit cracked.... it was out of warranty at that point.

Thanks, that made me think perhaps I should get a Fitbit. But I think I decided on Garmin some time ago because of the the features.

The closest to this is the Charge 2 HR I guess, but it's not waterproof and doesn't have GPS I believe.

So yeah, a Charge 3 would be good as @cmpaterson says.

What do you use now? How do you find it compared to Fitbit?
Price now dropped a fiver.
This is brilliant. I bought one for me & the Mrs on Prime Day. The app is great, watch is nice with lots of features, easy linkup to phone & love the goals/targets alerts.

I bought this over a FitBit. Great buy.

My last Fitbit was a Charge 2HR but after the screen cracked I saw a deal on here for a Garmin vivoactive hr so went for that.
The Vivoactive wins hands down on functions and features as I can download new screen faces and alter the lay out of icons etc. The Vivoactive also has GPS built in and can map activities such as runs which the charge 2 could not do.
If you are a keen sleep tracker then I feel the Fitbit is a better option as sleep tracking on Garmin devices is terrible especially for people like me who work shifts.
Swings and roundabouts but at the moment I am happy with the Garmin
Price dropped again!
Yup, third time ordering.

Glad I didn't get the lightening deal now. Keep dropping...

Now if only they do the same for the scales.

Yeah, that's the one I wanted for some time, and was wondering about. Although when I tried it in Halfords I wasn't that impressed - but I wasn't used to such basic screens compared to smart watches and phones.
I missed the deal.
The Vivoactive HR has swim tracking, more customisation and functions than the Vivosport.

But I believe the Vivosport has continuous next generation heart rate tracking, stress monitoring (heart rate variability I believe), and perhaps better motion/steps tracking?

The screen of the Vivoactive HR is meant to be very delicate, so I'd get a tempered glass screen protector if you haven't already. That put me off too.

Importantly for me I occasionally wear a watch now but plan to wear a fitness tracker on my right wrist and a Samsung Galaxy Watch when it comes out (hopefully with a decent offer), on my left. So a thinner band style works better.
