An extra £20 for the pod

Thanks - are these accurate?

Also - sorry for the questions but do these come with the ANT stick thingy as well?

Just found out that it doesn't - never mind

Yeah it does?? It comes with the usb stick and the heart rate chest strap. They are pretty accurate, and give you beeps at your upper and lower heart rate levels. Worth it for £30

this is for the watch and pod only - you dont get the HRM strap with this one.
However, i think you will find it cheaper to buy the WATCH+HRM and WATCH+FOOTPOD than the footpod seperately as its £50+ im sure - you can always sell the watch on ebay lol

Hey thanks, but the ANT usb stick sells for £36 by itself - doesn't make sense. Hope you are right:thumbsup:

milesey, good product? do you use it in the gym?
stuck between this and the 405 but I can get two watches plus HRM plus pod for £80 and seel one watch. 405 would be about £230 for the same... big diff in price!

it looks like a watch but can you wear it without anyone noticing what it is? is it thick ?

I dont wear it to the gym, but use it for running. There's no reason why you couldn't though. The 405 looks amazing, and i would have gone for that if i could justify the price, but this does a good job. I didn't get a footpod, as I only wanted it for heart rate checking.

Its a nice looking watch. I wear mine sometimes when not training. It's pretty small and doesn't look like a hrm watch that much.

nice price but when i read the description quick i thought it read "back in stroke"

Buy both sets (i.e the Pod & watch and the HRM & Watch) for £79.98 in total, then sell the spare watch and USB dongle on eBay. I did this and got £20, but they are going for £25+ with plenty of bidders.

End up with the lot for £59.98. Bargain!

I use mine jogging and in the gym. Very accurate and pretty decent software too.

The watch is fine as far as digital watches go - not huge, but not what you'd call "stylish" (i.e. I wouldn't wear it with out on the town on a Saturday....)

I am getting one to wear during a sex marathon.

Hot, got this last time and fully recommend it! £30 great price

Just a heads up, Garmin have finally realised the drivers to run the ANT agent on OSX:

www8.garmin.com/fit…jsp

So no more having to boot into windows to sync your data.

You'd be suprised how much your heart rate goes up when doing certain tasks around the house... er so i've been told...

Well those casio plastic watches are back in now! haha

Bought this at Christmas. Had been looking for HRM with which you could download data to PC for a while. Here's a mini-review:-
1. In the box:- watch, chest strap, ANT-USB stick
2. Manual is quite poor and doesn't follow in a logical order; buttons are not intuitive; e.g. getting the back light on is not obvious!
3. Use. I do mainly fixed bike work (a NOT-INCLUDED bike mount is useful for the watch); put the chest strap on; put watch in TRAIN mode; press START; I display current HR during workout; at end of work press STOP; to save session press and hold LAP/RESET; press VIEW to confirm save.
(I haven't configured the ZONES [yet]; I'm only interested in what my heart's doing wrt my max heart rate; and also how long its working for)
4. Sync data with PC is automatic (very clever); viewing data is basic; can compare 2 workouts; cannot get any stats out on the PC; just a pretty graph;
5. upload data to Web; very similar stats to that of PC but will give HR average over workout; and that's all it gives you.

Summary. Very basic stats provided; but if all you want to know is your HR, time and average this is good value. And the batteries (watch and strap) are both user replaceable.
Ask any questions.
Cheers.

Excellent, I've found my heart rate hits 110% of MHR during circuit training so it'll be interesting to see how that varies across an hour. Great find at this price!

You should be dead then. "They" say MHR should be calculated from resting heart rate but I cannot be ars3d. [MHR = 220 - Age] looks about right for me, for more info see brianmac.co.uk/max…htm (the calc itself is half way down the page).

I keep telling them that but they still won't give me the life insurance money. Tsk.

just bought this and the deal at £49.99 for the watch and footpod.
Will stick watch and ANT stick on ebay for maybe £20 min - if it sells great, if not the missus can probably use it.

Did think abou thte 405 but was glad i went to halfords to see one. They are actually quite large and IM not conviced they would pass for a normal watch for anyone other than those with large wrists.

On the other hand I was very impressed how much better this watch looks in the flesh - i dont think the photos really do it justice! Naturally I can do without the GPS!

Thanks to OP - ordered.

These are cheap as Garmin are releasing the Forerunner 60 in the next few weeks.
