An awsome comedy for those that haven't seen it worth £5! (or less, don't forget quidco, RAC)

Review taken from play.com

From the best-selling master of darkness...

Celebrated horror genius Garth Marenghi introduces his long-lost television project: a haunting medical drama set in Romford.

The best-selling writer is already known to hundreds as the creative force behind such classic chillers as The Ooze (can water die?), Afterbirth (a mutated placenta attacks Bristol) and Black Fang (rats learn to drive).

Darkplace was originally filmed in the 1980s and has since earned a cult reputation as one of the most terrifying and radical television programmes ever made.

Even now, Garth warns that the show, which he describes as an effort to radicalise men's minds, may prove 'too subversive, too dangerous, too damn scary'.

Get ready for the Darkplace fan-boys fawning over this.

I have tried to watch recently and it was just as awful as when i first watched it years ago, and i was around when it was first broadcast.

Can someone explain why its supposed to be good?.

You forgot to add it's mostly only funny to males who havent got a girlfriend still live with their parents and keep A Tarantula as a pet and keep slapping themselves on the back that they get the joke and realise that it wasnt a crap 80's show, it was in fact a pretty recent crap show.

Update.......Oh **** that sounds like me! I must say that anyone who likes this show obviously has good taste and will be a sure sucess in life.

What worries me is that I used to have a tarantula as a pet and am still at my parent's house - and I love Darkplace dearly  found it in a charity shop for £1.50.

My girlfriend absolutely hates it however
