These are absolutely great pieces of kit, ideal for use where there's no power to use an electric soldering iron, great for use on the car and comes with Aldis 3 year warranty

bare in mind that these usually run to hot for soldering electronics and tend to be more for plumbing tasks or burning yourself. Not a bad price though

1.5 hours on a full tank is quite impressive too

GAS POWERED STICK!

These are fantastic .... the temp can be controlled (well mine can) for Electronics ...

Had one of these for soldering LEDs in my line of work. Not the best as working nights in selfridges and the damn thing would refill! Absolute rubbish in my opinion,

I have used a gas iron for quite fine electronic work without problems. That was a few years ago, my eyes wouldn't let me do it now.

I use this for soldering outdoors, been ideal for vehicle wiring repairs.

Can't comment on the quality of this one (seems to come with a few different attachments) but you can get basic little soldering torches like this for 2-3 quid on eBay, with variable flames and that.

Cold.

Aldi should stick to selling cheap non branded alternative food.

Lightweight gas powered torch for high precision electronic soldering tasks.

Wind-resistant
Adjustable flame
Working time: approx. 1.5 hours with 100% Butane Gas (not supplied)
Includes: Standard Tip, Chisel Soldering Tip, Anvil Soldering Tip, Needle Tip, Reflector, Cleaning Sponge, Solder Wire and Cap

Some people talk rubbish. These are great for the right application i.e automotive electrical wiring repair. I'm pretty sure the tip can also be removed and be used like a hot air pencil. A portasol equivalent would set you back double the price, I can't imagine the quality being to different.

If you were doing circuit board repairs or similar you would clearly invest in a decent soldering iron with decent thermal recovery. Idiots!

Hot!

You can get a similar device in B&Q with a few less attachments for a £1 less. But I really would not bother had two poor quality and spare parts are hard to obtain as only the manufacturer will supply.

Now, Trix, this is getting really serious. You've been told over and over again that you MUST keep taking your medication!
