With two Baftas and three British Comedy awards under its belt, the much-loved and rightly-praised Gavin and Stacey returned for a one-hour Christmas Special broadcast on Christmas Eve 2008.

It's Christmas time and the Welsh contingent have been invited to celebrate the festive season with the Shipmans. So with the help of Dave and his coach; the West's head East. Dawn and Pete have come round for Christmas Eve drinks, and Pete's brought his aged mum. Mick has an enormous turkey soaking in a bucket, Bryn has his mistletoe on standby and Pam has a cracker of a present under the tree for Mick.

But will the season still be jolly when Smithy sees how attached Dave is to baby Neil? Or when Bryn elaborates further on the fishing trip? But most importantly...will there still be tidings of comfort and joy when Gavin delivers a truly unexpected surprise to everyone in the room?

It's a shame you don't enjoy it. I think it's one of the best and most original pieces of comedy for years.

Not really sure why this is getting cold votes, i'm assuming it's people that don't like the series.

i'm seriously contemplating serving time for non-payment of my tv license...what with this absolute drivel and that sickly dancing rubbish... please lock me away !

Think this is a very funny series but why pay £2.99, it's free on the BBC.

I think the 3rd series has been quite poor......but enjoyed the 1st and 2nd series.
