Same offer (£2) also at Asda. Also included (at Asda) is Gaymers Pear Cider. Cheers

I fail to see how the CO-OP are able to remain in the big boys league of retailers. Many of the local stores here are grubby and aged; the staff are unpleasant and grouchy, many of the so called special offers are non exsistant. I find the shopping experience in the CO-OP a very depressing task.

My main prob with the CO-OP is that they are so SLOW !! :x

Brahma beer is on BOGOF there now btw tho (£4.50 for 4 bottles, bogof)

CO-OP's are different around the country. Our Co-op is called the Lincoln co-operative and was refurbished a few years ago and is very good. I don't know if they all do the same deals, but they aren't all bad.

Considering Tesco charge £3 for same but on the outskirts of town this is a reat deal from a local shop. HOT.

Correct. I work for Southern Co-op, and our stores are a damn sight better than Co-op's run by different people.

The deals vary between Franchises (if you can call it that), and I'm pretty certain this deal is exclusive to that region. For example, Southern Co-ops have 4 bottles of Carlsberg for £2.50, and 4 bottles of Sol for £3. That's pretty much it I believe.

Was £1.49 in B&M or 4 x 4 bottles for £5. Got some last weekend, so not sure if still on.

Co-ops are never going to be as exciting as the big boys, they are positioned as ethical local stores away from the mainstream. They are small but good enough for local services I find their travel agency good too. Also when you sign up you become a member of Co-Op and when you shop you get s share of the profits back at the end of the year. In a similar way, small buidling socs like Portman, Nationwide were never as glamous as the big boy banks like HBOS, RBS, Northern Rock, Bradford and Bingley and Abbey.
