Unknown name (to me), don't like the overblown battery integration. Overpriced; just don't like it - sorry

Any better proposal rather than don’t like it ?

Deore for £3k seems a bit stingy. Spec on site is weird, says rim brakes when it’s clearly a disc. It does have good handlebar grips I suppose.

Xsmall to small frames only?
Decent bike.
Best selling brand in the country that's best embraced cycling. Deore gears might not be great but you're getting integrated headshock suspension forks, metal muguards, a sturdy rack, AXA lights , and ergon grips. All good kit and not cheap.

How do you know it is overpriced if you don't know the brand? A non-sequitur in action.
2018 model - how dated is the Bosch motor?
This clearly isn't a bike for going off road so I think you would be better off with the simplicity and reliability of a hub motor but accept this bike might have better feel in the way the power operates. If you do have problems with the Bosch motor which admittedly isn't quite as likely with such a motor used exclusively on the road maintenance and repair costs can be very high and if it gets to the point where its not economically viable to repair the bike is pretty much scrap as the frame is designed around this Bosch motor.

500Wh is not amazing for a battery pack, its good but not super high so the range must be calculated with quite a bit of effort from the rider.

Remember propitiatory parts are very expensive and there is no worse than battery packs like this. If you wanted to have a spare battery for longer trips the price would likely be ridiculous.

It's a nice looking bike with some decent parts but even at this reduced price I wouldn't say it was great value.

It's a 3 phase AC motor, designed in 1888 by Nikola Tesla - the design hasn't progressed since then.

Yeh so why skimp at the last stage on components that are familiar to so many people. Maybe they are actually just suited to the bike for some reason, sturdier than the more expensive ones or something.
Had a look at the Gazelle site and had this interesting text come up 'winkel in de buurt' displayed which translates as 'store nearby'.

Part of Pon holdings who own Derby cycles which owns many famous brands including Focus and Kalkhoff.

Seems with Accell also being dutch which owns many brands too a lot of the bike industry in Europe is owned by dutch companies.

Got to keep it under a certain price? Better to save on the consumables as you can gradually upgrade as they wear out. From Deore upwards it's really about weight saving and "going up to 11" (or 12). Probably not a concern for someone with 250w of extra oomph. I'd rather it be like this rather than the old days where all sorts of corners were cut but there was an XT rear mech to catch your eye!
The motor on a Bosch driven ebike is the most important thing. Worry about the brakes and the cogs if you like but if buying an ebike you want to know what generation the Bosch motor is.
