Feel free to post a deal that meets your standards instead of voting cold based on your moral code
And if you don't like your Halal meat cold, I'm sure you could ask them to leave it on the grill a bit longer (_;)
I'd stick to your day job, I was under the impression that the HUKD community could vote how they see fit. I was simply stating that it is HALAL which IMO is morally wrong.
Hmm high horse... Why morally wrong? What is the right moral way to kill animals? Or transport them in containers? Or keep them in factory farmed food prep?
Careful on morals. Lets keep it to deals on burgers eh?
I think they sell high horse burgers at Iceland
Handily I'm a Burger Boss (yeah, legit thing) so I get three free lunches there a month.
But heat anyway!
Might take a while, he's better than the Pope apparently.
Yup!
Just went there for Lunch in Canary wharf
I'm with you on this. I used to be a regular at GBK but as they got bigger they became more expensive.
The market is full of competition down my way - Byron, Five Guys and Honest Burgers to name a few. GBK have lost their edge as these other restaurants are just as good if not better.
Admittedly Honest aren't national but hopefully they will be one day as their burgers are superb.
And they do sell crocodile Burgers at Iceland. No kidding (halal goat).
Does that mean a vegan can vote cold on a pack of butter that's 5p?
Please expand!
With 3 free lunches there a month I'm sure he does expand!
I agree too. GBK used to a regular haunt which has now become expensive but where hasn't these days?
However, there is plenty of great competition out there. I'd second the recommendation of Honest Burgers and also Patty and Bun. They all start off in London but the good ones will eventually spread their wings.
Dont forget National Burger day next Thursday (27th) with 20% off a load of different burger places nationwide including GBK.
nationalburgerday.co.uk
Around £3 for fries and £2.50 for a soft drink.
Also this offer (voted hot btw) is for eat in only.
If anyone is in the Manchester area (Burnage actually) try and visit a small burger place called 'The FoodBox'. Amazing burgers, not particularly cheap, but I stopped there when visiting a friend in the area and it was really nice food. I challenge you to try (and finish) the Great Epson Burger!

Edit, that's the smaller one oO
Looks a little greasy to me lol. This is and always will be my fav...GBK Avocado and Bacon
Let's be honest, there is hardly a 'nice' way to slaughter an animal.
Was a little, but the picture certainly doesn't do it justice. I always find a burger from a decent independent 'burger shop' much nicer tasting than these commercial offerings.
The HUKD community votes on prices that represent good value. You didn't offer a similar quality product for same or better price. You're not voting on animal rights.
Everyone has their own moral opinions. What intrigues me though is how some (aka most) people 'consume' their products (not just food stuffs) whilst totally ignoring how the humans producing them are suffering on a daily basis. Leads me to think that it's not really the animals suffering that is the main concern.
Well I vote on the whole package, for example I would always vote a Sports Direct deal cold regardless of price. Everyone to they're own
I agree! Hence I will always vote Sports Direct or Amazon deals cold as they treat the vast majority of employees like s**t.
It's quite interesting hearing all the different opinions
What do you expect? It's about burgers, hardly adult food. (_;)
How do I become a burger boss?
What difference does it make if it is Halal? The only chicken that is Halal is the breaded chicken for your information.
