The Stream 1 is available here ebay.co.uk/itm…172

The Gear4 BLACK Stream speakers are WiFi Multiroom speakers with DLNA, WiFI Direct, Bluetooth and AUX-In.

The Stream 1 is a portable speaker with a battery life of around 8 Hours. It also has a USB port for charging your device from, again the sound quality is reasonably good.

When grouping speakers you can set them as Stereo or Left/Right Streams so you can use 2 Stream 1s and a pretty good stereo setup.

The only thing that bugs me on these speakers is a lack of Next/Previous buttons.
There are some preset buttons on it though which can save things like your fave Radio Streams and Spotify Playlist

The app is pretty meh, but you can use Spotify Connect or something like BubbleUPnP to control what you listen to and just use their app for Grouping the speakers.

A couple of reviews from when they were £100/130 each

I've had mine about a year. Originally looked at Chromecast Audio with KitSound Contempo, then was really considering the Jam ones (Rhythm and Symphony I think) but chanced upon these in HMV for £35/£45 respectively and thought I'd give them a shot and they've served me well. Obviously it's not going to compete with Sonos or Bose but at this price they're great.
nice find

You dodged a bullet avoiding the jam ones. Got one of each and regret it every day. Terrible sound quality.

Thanks. Only 2 left it seems.
Yeah I commented then decided to buy them. 🙊
The speakers arrived yesterday, so just playing with them now. Any way to tether them together, then connect my phone via Bluetooth or line in? I want to use amazon music or tunein and then send that from the main speaker out.

Use the Gear4 Stream app to put them in the same group. The same app will let you choose TuneIn, not sure about Amazon as Im at work and can't check.

But you can use Bubble Upnp to stream your local renderer.

I'm not seeing Tunein, but that's no biggie, I can't manage to play to all speakers at once through bubble. But using the gear app I can select bubble and play Google music so that's progress.
Is there no way to link the speakers, and then connect via Bluetooth? This is all a bit beyond me.

Put them in a group, selecting the one you want to connect as BT or AUX first. Then when selecting the source choose Bluetooth then pair/connect to the one you first selected and it'll play across both.

Just streaming Radio 2 from TuneIn now via BT on my upstairs one and it's playing downstairs too.

Are you using Android or iOS?
Android.
You 🌟! Quite why the instructions don't make it clear how to do this is a bit annoying. But thank you, I now have it doing what I bought it for. Thanks again!

This app appears to be identical to the Gear4 one but actually has TuneIn as a Source

Brilliant, I've nabbed that too. Is it usual for the group to disappear if one of the speakers is turned off? It would be handy if it remembered once you turned it back on.

I leave mine plugged in and they go in to standby when not in use. When they're in standby they'll stay in their groups.
