Had a few items for friends & raffle gifts off this lot, all been fab and got a right result when the ebay code was useable at their store at the weekend!!
These are a great price...I got three last time. Unfortunately, the speakers are absolutely useless with no bass at all. I got some of the Otone offers from the same seller and they are considerably better!
Fantastic seller though!

Hold up - you say it's an absolutely useless speaker, but this is a good price?
However, you have saved me the hassle of buying and then returning them, so I thank you for that.

It's a good price compared to the original if you REALLY want one of these. I was really disappointed. Poor sound and mains only. The seller has much better other options
Good speakers overall - excellent value at this price. Bass is pretty good too.
If you look at the spec of the speakers other sellers have, including Iwoot, they all say these are rechargeable through micro USB socket.

The description on Amazon says 'The HouseParty's audio fidelity is only matched by its practicality. An incredibly efficient Li-Ion battery ensures hours of playtime.'

So is the description wrong on these or are the batteries missing - hence the price?
Well the one I am sitting here with at the moment definitely stops dead when the mains lead is removed. Check with the seller. Perhaps mine is missing the battery....and the bass!
Nigel is right - they are not rechargeable. This seller has the description right, iWoot has the description wrong. In terms of sound I cannot find a spec sheet but other houseparty speakers are around 30w when I looked online so Iassume it is the same/similar.
