These Led lights have been on offer for less than 66 pence before but trust me the white light ones are ultra bright and great to use for camping / working on the car / power cut etc.

I have even used them as under cabinet lighting using a 4 port hub, they can get a bit warm that because they are so bright for a little light.

I wouldn't risk anything from this company. These will probably burn your …I wouldn't risk anything from this company. These will probably burn your house down.

I'm glad you feel that way, it means that there will be stock for me (and others) who have used them before and ordered some more.
Ah good, another thing I never knew I needed but now do!
I got these last time they were cheap. No one worked, and even more dangerously, once connected to a USB they suddenly become very hot and smelly of smoke/burning. Hot at a point that they are difficult to unplug from the charger/device. I have tried a few of them on different batteries/chargers, all the same.

They are a real hazard for fire.

STAY AWAY.

Anything that has a usb socket i.e power bank

Can anyone who has bought these tell me - are these either on when plugged in, or off when not plugged in, or can you control them somehow using software?

I was thinking of using them for a project to flash when things happen :-)

No they stay on when you plug them in direct to a usb socket

Only if you can program the power on/off to the socket.

Also they are 5 volt so you can connect them to something like Led-Wiz to control them
Note that the 'better' versions of these mini flashlights have usb connectors on both sides, allowing you to rotate the light direction through 180 degrees if you require.
I use them behind my TV for some ambient lighting, it's no Philips ambilight but for 66p what do you want
Can you please give a link to the better version ones

Just tap the top to turn on and off
They're rated at 22 lumens, i think some of the hyperbolic brightness statements are overdoing it a little.
Last time ordered 5, i am still using the first 2, the rest is in the drawer, ordered them about 6 months ago, using them daily for light.
I plugged them into a cheap usb 3.0 hub with separate switches, so not dangerous imho, you just switch them off.
Buy them with confidence!
Anybody know where I could pick some rechargeable USB lights thanks

Anybody know where I could pick some rechargeable USB lights thanks

You'll have to explain that. What are you looking for? A light that can be recharged via a USB connection? What type of light? Hand-held torch, lantern, work light, or what?
Will these burn my face, if I put my face on them while they are on?

Do you mean these sort of things? Search the jungle site for: Moston 3 Pack Upgraded USB Rechargeable 10 LED Magnetic Motion Sensor Night Light.
Other options will of course show up. Bought these a year ago and have been superb.
Can you dim these? Some of these USB lights can be dimmed in stages.
cant think of any need for these.
swipe up on my phone - touch the light button.
done. 66p saved.
I used to have one of these and never found a use for it. What do people actually do with them?
Put it on your keyring and save it for an emergency.
Thanks OP, bought & heat added.
good, another thing I never knew I needed but now do!
Anyone order this? Just checking as still waiting for mine to turn up?
Mine arrived 2 days ago. Forgot I ordered them. Very bright, doesn't get hot, looks useful. Just need to think of something I could use them for
