Not worth the hassle, besides already binned one of them, the other is about somewhere

Bought a couple of these before. They don't work very well and one caused my phone to crash - not worth buying.

Good points well made! My daughter is a nightmare yanking her phone from a cable whilst its charging. Sick of replacing her expensive iPhone chargers and her phone port. Well worth the money.

Wish it had the extended (1cm long) USB-C jack to fit IP68 style phones (ie Blackview BV9500 Pro). I've loads of issues finding the actual cables, the ones supplied with my phone are crappy :(

Can't see it metion a DAC so these may not work on phones that don't pass the analog signal to the USB-C port like pixel etc

iphones don't have a USB type-c port so it won't work at all. You need a lightning to 3.5mm adapter, either buy original (which cost a lot) or buy from Gearbest/Aliexpress/etc. and hope that it works. It seems some adapters work with firmware 10.2 or older so be careful.

i have bought one of this for iphone and it never worked. gearbest never replied so i have stop buying from them

Apologies, I must have clicked the same link twice as I saw the same price both times.

A bit clueless here about all this DAC talk. Can anybody explain to us non-geeks? Will this work with a Pixel 3?

Nope. Very few dongles have the DAC inside them, most notable ones being the Razer one, the Google Pixel one and the Apple one. This does not. Apple are only doing it on iPads, not phones. Lightning is too much of a moneymaker for them.

Had a couple of these cheap ones,There not Dac unless it says that.Finished up buying a genuine HTC one.

Correct, and the general rule of thumb is that if you have a 3.5mm socket then you won't need a DAC (and in many cases using such a cable will not even work at all). But really what we need is a reference or registry to show us compatibility since it's a bit of a lottery otherwise.

Amazon has this available "used like new" at £199.97 from prelovedmobile for anyone that would prefer to buy in the UK. I have no idea if Prelovedmobile are any good though.

Its very easy to do, if you're scared I guess you could buy the battery and take it to a phone repair shop, it would take them about 5 minutes at most so they shouldn't charge much.

That's good to know. (y)

There reviews on YouTube of the camera. For me it's really good. It's said to be the same as Samsung s7 cam.

Don't touch Gearbest with a barge pole. Their actual delivery rate (Ie the amount of orders that make their destination) is terrible and there is a good chance you will never see either your goods or money again.

The thing that concerns me is the enormous area the docking station requires - a metre either side and two metres in front for most models. You end up with it sitting in the middle of a long wall taking up lots of space and being a trip hazard. Has positioning the dock been an issue for anyone?

I have an i-sweep from Amazon (£60) and I must admit it does a brilliant job. It's isnt very powerful but it makes up for this by going over and over the same spots again and again. It would surprise you how much dirt it picks up on an already clean floor. Where it lets me down and why i have an alert set on these deals is I've a dog that casts in thick clumps. It doesn't pick these up. It also doesn't map the room out nor return to base or set itself off at certain times. I'll probably get a Eufy or Xaoimi at some stage but this looks decent for the price so will give some heat.

You get 10% off £87.69 on Amazon. So roughly £80 if you prefer UK seller. Amazon link Heat added

Best site for info is YouTube! I don't know of any others really. The more useful type of engraver is like eBay item number 153292364222 But the build quality is poor, mine jams when first turned on and needs a little nudge to get the laser carriage to move on its spindle. Having said that, I get a lot more use it out of it than the one in the OP. They are both very slow at what they do and often find larger images take over 2 hours to engrave into soft wood.

Any suggestions around this or the next price bracket?

Some strong points here. I've got a pixel 1 and the new Bluetooth menu system is utterly bananas. It hides the owns you've previously connected causing you to constantly try and pair headphones until you realise they've squirreled them away. I'm not sure I'm what situation this would be an improvement. Crazy.

It is. Its made me think about whether I even want Pie now. Looks indeed like a downgrade. Some bizarre decisions. Seems to be to try to make it more IOS like which has never been a driver.

Your comparison on imgur is interesting and informative. Cheers.

Pie is rolling out for this phone now. There is a very simple method for updating manually to Pie. However I'd have a look into how Pie functions on a phone without a notch. Cause I used it for about 2 days before I realised it was utter garbage, a step back from every android since 5. The notification bar sucks, the quick access menu sucks, the recent apps menu sucks. I could go on... I made an album comparing Pie to Lollipop. Google should stick to sweets that come in a packet cause they can't bake for their life!

I think those are the only apps I've had that problem with, and they're quite old. I think most apps just give an in-app menu regardless, these days. At least the Nokia 8 has never (to my knowledge) supported ExFAT, unlike the Lenovo Tab 4 8 Plus which did, until the Oreo update came out. I've reported the regression to Lenovo and am waiting to see if they issue a new update with ExFAT support. I suspect they won't, in which case, I'll have to backup, reformat, and restore, which is irritating.

And the Moto G6 Play is £102 (monthly Vodafone contract is £89 upfront and £13 per month, cancel second month on day phone received): I know it isn't to Mrswitch's taste, but it has a 4000mAh battery and QC3 fast charging. e.g. "A 4,000mAh unit lets the Motorola Moto G6 Play plough on through a full day of intensive use, including, for example, an hour of YouTube streaming along with the usual messaging, browsing and camera use." "Motorola says this means you can get no less than 32 hours usage from the device, which sounds amazing – and more importantly we found to be true in real world use." "I was left with 30% at midnight after hammering it quite comprehensively through the day." "4,000mAh battery, which lasted for three days of my use." Direct link:!/t_network/Vodafone/sort/relevance/model/MOTMOTOG6PLAYBLU Coincidentally, I can't find any results for 'moto g6 play' at the moment using the search, presumably it's broken.

DonkeyKonk Not necessarily a BiG Battery, but the DAB Radio lasts 50 hours + in my experience, and is a very handy secondary media device. Great if going on long walks, trips, etc. Replaceable battery too.

Posting from one right now. Build quality is excellent, it's a brilliant phone. I had the Power 2 previously and it was good too though I had to send it back to have the charging port replaced after about 9 months.

I've used robot vacuum cleaners for the last 6-7 years or so and have currently got two Ilife robot cleaners (the V3s Pro and the V5s for upstairs) and they're really efficient on hard floors, not so great on carpet. However, there's no way in the world I would use one with a water tank and trust it to clean wooden or even laminate flooring. Just as any wet mop would do, it would ruin the floor in no time. Which means you'd be paying an extra premium for wrecked floors. I got the V5 for £65 from Ebay last March which is half the price of this model. No offense to you or your deal OP but a water tank on one of these is a really bad idea and wouldn't have/use one even if it was free.

Did you like it or you think it isn't worth it?

I just sold mine as it was doing was gathering dust!

Exactly..... If you drive something as life threatening as a car, you have a responsibility to keep it road worthy. The people who can't be bothered checking their tyres and are the same people who don't check their lights and drive down the motorway with one side light, one brake light and one headlight (on full beam) blinding everyone else because THEY can't see. They are the sorts who don't pay road tax or have insurance and drink drive whilst disqualified.

I'd rather not have to look after them. Are t they meant to be a convenience?! Cold.

matey stop with the nonsense, you won't be bypassing the valve and the kit is not classed as a modification as it is not a permanent change to any cars standard specification. The sensors are valve covers with the addition of being a sensor as well, simple as that.

But they aren’t dust caps, you’re basically bypassing the tyre valve so if these did cause an incident you really think the insurance company would ignore it? Unless these are insurance approved product.

Nonsense. Aftermarket dust caps and device you plug into your cigarette lighter is hardly a modification to declare to your insurance company. Do I need to notify my insurance company of my Bluetooth hands free kit that plugs I to the cigarette lighter too?

Ordered similar from Gearbest in October. Ended up getting 'Delivered' to nowhere near me and signed for by 'Assumed Delivered'. Gearbest promised to resend, then when that didn't happen, they promised to investigate and file a claim and when that didnt happen they said 'Ah it's been delivered, not our problem'. Probably never really sent or stolen. As it was signed for by 'Assumed Delivered' (I'm not sure but this could be a Latvarian name?) then I have no grounds for claim with PayPal (Who in my opinion are complicit). Either incompetent, or crooks. Probably both. I'd think twice about trusting them with your money. You may never see it again.
