I find these non Bluetooth ones always work better. I have this one and it's very very good. My Bluetooth mice whilst convenient do not offer the same amount of excellent experience these do. For example power saving kicking in too early after a second and constantly having to wake it up. I have 4 Bluetooth mice from 3 brands and they are all a pain.

Why would it not? It should. You would be better off using a Bluetooth mouse though, providing your Raspberry Pi is one of the latest models that incorporate it (If only not to occupy one of the USB ports)

An obligatory "Would it work on a Raspberry Pi?" Could come in handy when emulating Amiga/Atari ST games.

cheap as chips! 80hrs doesn't seem long though? Some last a year or two?

I'm not sure where you're going with this but I'll hazard a guess and say they grow on trees.

Apologies to Gearbest and HUKD readers - I just discovered that I ordered these poor quality black earbuds via Wish and not Gearbest. They look very similar and have the same model number, but I understand that this design is churned out by more than one manufacturer so the quality may not be the same from different suppliers. My Gearbest order is still to be delivered and I'll post my thoughts on them when I receive them.

Agreed but my 10 year old daughter is made up with hers.

oh i know that, and i've bought some duds in my time that i've put up with but these are just next level bad

Anyone wanting decent sound quality wouldn't be considering £5 earphones from China.

Utorch S1 mini CREE XP-L HD V6 LED Flashlight £11.68 @ Gearbest app

It's tiny! A must for any torch fetishists. :)
Get dealGet deal

Because it's nice?

Please someone explain to me why anyone would by this over one of the many torches posted for less than £2 that take either an AA or a 14500? This seems to be shorter but similar/slightly greater diameter. It may just be me but when it comes to pocket-able torches the length doesn't matter much but the diameter makes a reasonable difference. So the smallest torch I tend to carry in my pocket takes an AAA, the next largest a 14500 and then the largest an 18650. The AAA is floody like this, the 14500 has handy variable focus and the 18650 is just incredibly bright. I don't see the advantages of this torch that takes an odd battery with fairly low energy density to size ratio and doesn't have variable focus like a slightly longer torch that'll take an AA/14500. Then there's the price... You could get a decent torch that takes an 18650 for this money.

Okay geezers - if anyone prefers the warm white 5000k version (trust me, go for warm white), you can use the following code: GBxHou024 to reduce the price to £11.69-ish, the same as the 6500k version. You're welcome. SP

Damn this thread! I've managed to NOT add a torch to my collection for the last few months, but when I saw this sexy little thing, I couldn't resist it...

Bought this 2 days ok for £13.30 - Torch looks fun

Thanks for the reply, yeah I know what you mean, it happens to me sometimes on many deals on this website, maybe too much traffic (don't quote on this :p ). I have a method that usually works for me but it might not for you, this tends to work better on mobile browser. The method is simple, stop the page in loading, then refresh the page, this has always worked for me. Anyhow hope this helped.

.Canopus thanks for the reply and new link, but what I click on the link all I get is a white page. I have no idea what the problem could be

I don't have this exact one, but I have lots of the ultra cheap Chinese torches and they are all excellent quality for the price. Streets ahead of anything you'd get at Poundland. Some of them take lithium batteries, so if you use torches a lot that might make sense - some AA torches take 14500 cells.

Thanks! Bought 2 because why not. Heat

EXACTLY ! I did a little research and apparently Helio 22 and 23 aren't bad at all but they're 20nm against the Snapdragon 14 (apparently the 22 is smaller) and smaller is better But still good, but think I'd prefer the Snapdragon

£30 more gets you a far far superior Redmi Note 5

Good question. I was surprised they used the Mediatek chip, most other phones Xiaomi make have Snapdragon chip in them.

Is this any good

The Mediatek Helio 22 ? Much weaker than the Snapdragons and even the kirins aren't they ?(Also much less "power efficient" too

It wasn't a dig, just interested, maybe there are other options. I use Google photos for photo management. It does various things behind the scenes to reduce the amount of space used on my phone, it stores them in the cloud, but I back them up myself too to guarantee maximum quality. The cached versions are of satisfactory quality, good enough to show people. My entire collection can be accessed offline while using less than 1GB of my phone's storage. With regards to music, no one needs all their music downloaded, you should have a fair idea of the album's you might want to listen to. Personally if there's one I feel like listening to that I don't have, then it's really a very minor inconvenience, a non issue, I can get it later. That's how a phone is used properly, there are tools designed to solve these issues, I learnt when 8GB was the standard, with no sd expansion.

oh thats sad. i have the 5T and would have bitten at this price especially with cc protection against faults

They've stopped taking pre orders now, so have bumped up the price, the people that pre ordered will get the email at some point. Expired.

how to actually get this price? it comes up as £435.04 for me and i cant se where to enter email for this price? any help would be appreciated

As per above reviews. Have a couple of them in a drawer as spares as the control was constantly getting caught in a shirt collar when using them on my commute.

Sorry I'm no sound engineer but these are awful, really awful, I'd say about 50% worse than apple earphones and that's saying something.

Very poor quality. I bought few months ago. Rubbish.

I've got these and they aren't too bad I use them for watching football on line, they last long enough for what I need them for, I'm ordering another couple of pairs so that there's always a set fully charged.

Yeah, I have these. Connects fine to the phone. Lasts a couple of hours battery. Sound quality tinny and grim though. Fine for a cheap shot or for use as car hands-free. Hot at this price.

Not going to happen, Google Pay is only on Wear OS and I don't see Xiaomi striking a special agreement as they have their own, rival payment system called Mi Pay.

Compared to their current selection neither seem to fit in well. For Mi 8 Pro, you're essentially getting Mi 8 but sacrificing 400mah battery to get a front in-screen fingerprint reader. For Mi 8 Lite, it seems like a Mi 6X(A2) with glass body, bigger notched screen and bigger battery, but it has a lower price.

I want that phone, but why oh why did they put a 3000mah battery in it?

I think Pro is the Explorer's new name. They appear to have removed the Mi 8 Explorer off the China Mi Site but have transparent as an option for the Pro. See here<. A change in face unlock tech and new RAM/colour variants seem to be the only differences<.

Sorry mate, totally missed this, been in Turkey this last week with little to no internet access!

Just a power outage in local area. All fixed now. Been going off a few times a day so probably fixing it. Just ordered a mi max 3 from eglobal. I know they are a bit big but loved the screen and battery on my max 2. Hopefully it will pull a better 3 signal than this essential does lol.

What gave you a power cut? And @Mrswitch , @Zorciarr thinks the Nex S is better than the Galaxy S8+ (y)

I do need another phone tho as this essential phone sits with no signal on 3 where I live. WiFi calling works but since I had a 2 hour power cut I had no phone lol.

Its just a phone. As long as I don't drop and smash it I can live with marks and scratches. It's not a fashion item lol. It's a useful device that just needs using. Never smashed a phone myself. I don't have sand in my pocket either. But put an hard case on a glass or alloy phone and it gets crud 8n it that does scratch it.

After you've paid vat, this will be more expensive than buying it domestically. No useful warranty either. You'd have more recourse with something 2nd hand bought on eBay.

Im no expert myself but clearly that quote was written by someone in marketing/sales with little computing knowledge (excited) . They could have emphasised the speed of the SSD over a traditional disk drive. Looks like a decent deal though without looking into the details further.

Definitely. Last time I bought £135 electronics from aliexpress, which were declared for the sale value by the seller, import tax was nearly £12.
