Cold any problem you need to send it to china..... After sending pictures to gearbest and then waiting minimum of 6 weeks to get a card back (horror)
Some european sellers have official xiaomi shops like belgium or Poland but deals from them are not allowed on hot uk deals.... Gearbest is a scam company and you can post as many deals as possible
How does the sd660 compare to the 636
Mind the lump of a camera on the back. Literally Massive compared the depth of the phone.
Well three are rumoured to start selling xiaomi, so watch this space I guess. Otherwise there'll be a few third party amazon sellers, or good old ebay, but they won't come with official warranty either if that's what you're after. Best off waiting for three to start.
Looks great - THANKS. Any idea of a UK seller pls? Don't mind paying more.
I've ordered one a while ago, im in HK at the moment and I've gave them a HK address, I've been told it has been shipped a couple of days ago. Now im just waiting, I'll update you when I receive it
Aye, theres such a marginal difference between a whole host of cpus and being honest I was back and forth alot. Thing is you can literally do this all day long, whether you step back or forwards, eventually you'll either end getting a ryzen 3 1200 or a Threadripper. I just looked at what I needed then went with price, 8 cores, not long term and resale when upgrading. Im not looking to overclock so best performance out the box without fiddling. For me personally I already have a water cooler ready. Its really going to boil down to your own personal needs, which go beyond the usual requirements. Edit: if the previous 1700 deal had been still available I may have gone for it so for me this was the next (nearest) best thing without stepping backwards
Looks like a hefty rise in power consumption for not much increase in grunt, compared to the 6-core 2600.
Hope you don't get stung for Duty (:edit: correction, CPUs are zero-rated for duty), VAT (~£33), and handling fees (carrier dependent)
No mention of 3G/4G/LTE my man
I got a lenovo s8-50 still stuck at lollipop, lenovo are pretty poor at updating the firmware. Tablet is more than capable of going to nougat.
No band 20 :( LOL
I've got one.... screen is very nice, works well for a £100 tablet. Yes a Samsung / Apple table that costs 3-4 times as much will be better. Browsing, do all the updates and it's fine. It was never slow imo, the issue was the scrolling stopped a bit shorter than you expected if browsing a long page. Android 6, its stable, it works, apps work...security update is as off Feb 2018. Lots of Android devices never get any updates or security updates. Boot loader is locked and only one custom rom (linage) available. https://forum.xda-developers.com/thinkpad-tablet/development/rom-lineageos-14-1-lenovo-tab-3-8-plus-t3796119
I have one of these, performance is great, especially web browsing, scrolling on FB app, very smooth. Not sure where they got the performance issues from in the review, maybe a previous version of the software? It's only downside is that it's not a very premium feeling device. It's fine, but plastic and just slightly too thick. The Lenovo tab 4 plus 8 is much better (glass), as is the Huawei mediapad m3 lite (metal) and both are thinner than this which feels nicer. Oh and yes, it's stuck on marshmallow, but to be honest whatever brand of tablet you buy, I wouldn't expect any updates.
Have you got this working? The XDA thread seems complicated with lots of people saying it doesn't work, or they have to install Chinese version etc
It does integrate with Google fit, you need to install the MI fit app, then pair with watch, which basically links it to amazefit app. It syncs data from there and pushes it onto Google fit when you allow it on MI Fit. :)
Is it a comparable price?
Ticwatch is the dogs.
Bought as a fitness tracker it's difficult to find anything as good for the price.
All gone 😔😔😔
Grey one sounds dangerous 😞
Link would take you to the item if you have the app installed. Otherwise the website gives you the full price.
Edit: Need to search within app - link won't work Gearbest：Gocomma 1m Type-C USB Cable - GRAY https://gearbest.app.link/xnM1iIJZEO
Are these durable?
They also have a $5 voucher off purchases over $30 if you sign up for their newsletter so I added a Cat7 cable which ended up being effectively free!
+ @EN1GMA Hue works, but you still need the hub (for now). IKEA Trasfri work without hub and they use the Hue spec so suspect only a matter of time. It all works together great and after a bit of a learning curve building flows is way easier than smart things and just as versatile. Not a cheap device but imho essential to get the whole smart home working together. Also can work with cheap Sonoff devices etc too so means that you can buy whatever when it's cheap to build your smart home very cheaply Edit: Check out Athom.com for general info, apps.athom.com for all devices with apps (you can generally still pair ZigBee/Zwave without apps but don't always get full device functionality ) and forum.athom.com for discussion
That's a decent price. Where you find these websites from? I'm still after some yeelights at a sub £10 price but been waiting for a while.
Managed to find gateway on newfrog.com for £18.01. Can't wait for delivery... 8)
I've got them and also got door sensors. But then my hub was missing for 2 months. By the time i found it my hype for it kind of died. I will take another look at it though.
What you mean is, Amazon is asking too much!
Android 7.0 not 8 like all new phones
Plus the GPS is the worst one I have ever seen
Yea I mean apart from the battery, everything else is just meh especially that mediatek chip. Not great.
It's a 103 pound phone.
This phone is the worst phone I've ever used. Software is horrible. The screen cracked from pocket height..my pixel 2 was much better
Ohh, I understand now. Thanks for the explanation. XD I've been after a new phone for a couple of months and this looks good. I just wish it was the S version with the SD845 and drastically improved camera. Lack of Treble isn't a concern since it has been unofficially ported by the community developers over at XDA. 256GB of storage is a bit overkill but nice to have nevertheless.
No. There is only one Mix 2 variant and it has global LTE bands. For the camera and better battery life as well as shipping with Treble - yes.
The listing says 256Gb ROM, which would be pretty useless since you cannot write to ROM. The phone is of course RW, not ROM
Exact same for me... audio on videos sounds horrific...patchy periods of sound. Others have said its a software issue and much improved in miui 10, but no idea when miui 10 will be released on the global rom
No GPS on that one, tho looks nice with the colour OLED
yes. I was in the same boat. my gear fit 2 would always die within a couple of hours of riding when on GPS. This watch just keeps on going! Easy to sync to Strava too. Looks surprisingly good for such a low price.
what about this ? https://www.gearbest.com/smart-watches/pp_1426627.html?wid=1349303#goodsDetail
You should probably be checking her text messages 😁
Click the Black one, £46. still showing higher than £43 but better than £50= for the other colours
Very tempting indeed... Could it be a sign that my trusted OnePlus One just died?!? (angel) Shame it's not a 128Gb version. Hot!
Good price. Tempted. Heated.
Soooo tempted, must resist
does say HKShipping:FREE SHIPPING to United Kingdom Via Priority Line Ship between: Jul 20 - Aug 01, Estimated Shipping Time: 10-18 business days
Not available for delivery to the UK.
Also get one of these whistles printed! They are amazing, apparently the Aztecs used them before battle to scare off enemies. It sounds like screaming
I had tinkered with a mates Anet when he had it at the time, got myself a Tevo Tarantula but this is in a different class of it's own. I think they have just replenished what to expect from a budget printer in terms of quality and usability When I had my Tevo it was a constant game of cat and mouse tinkering with it, fine tuning it. Out of the box, install time, packaging quality, parts quality, everything is smashing. They have just released some upgrades too which they are sending for free at no extra charge, great customer care as well I will upgrade the PFTE couplers, swap out the nozzle, put some dampeners on there and fine tune the cooling system and I reckon it will be a perfect little machine for my needs
Thanks for the the photo it looks stunning! I have the Anet A8 which is ok, I must admit I need to do some upgrade work on it but was quite interested in this one!
Great bit of kit The following print was done with absolute no tweaking whatsoever, I just put it together and run this print. It's an aztec death whistle. Hands down, best first budget printer but beware, new packages come with a rectangle Y Axis design, improved couplers and some are getting glass beds for free The UK eBay suppliers have them
sorry mate, perhaps was account linked?
Cannot get the free shipping so will give it a miss
No, I just bought the es2 for £338 (including insurance) throuhg this advert link: https://www.googleadservices.com/pagead/aclk?sa=L&ai=C-cey9L9NW_vINNeYxgLIwr24B67zk6NRo8TKqroB26Hsv7MCEAEg5pfWJWC7vpiD0AqgAZyTnMEDyAEJqAMBqgTdAU_QJhV0Nm8YsuU0sEt_hHI3CYk01qdzHy4GLCZL2QzS6Tau4cb_lOELPuCgriIl6QCdjrXtB_dbPFee4k40yFyDPDr5gvRN9q50wDZH46yKblO2j8SbRqR_YI6S_OLnuzxyffapfGDyQ_HKRQW1Y9Qv7C_rB315quTMRjmBq8K4X0GFLw8OSI3xqCWWMO_JAYm1aV2KYCn9d4rztnEPmNIHhMguqnm-ZDGKDVaAr159XshUhXeRT6MEsgvvqeQSnVP_StCRjx5WNMNHumcGkZ2qewB2BXSvFTmTZuzr-gUGCCUQARgBoAYugAfz2akvqAeOzhuoB9nLG6gHz8wbqAemvhuoB5jOG9gHAMAIAtIIBwiAYRABGADyCA1iaWRkZXItNTQ1NTExgAoE&num=1&pr=10:5.808123&cid=CAASEuRoQnUhvd5uCVVWlA6zuhdpqg&sig=AOD64_1dFeIp8rzMEuU0W7WTN10Vuld1Lg&adurl=https://www.gearbest.com/kick-scooter/pp_009853851321.html?wid=1433363¤cy=SEK&vip=4264290&client=ca-pub-3076890012741467
It says free shipping for me to but when you add the item to cart and then click 'proceed to checkout' it adds shipping... Did you mange to complete the checkout without paying shipping?
When I go via the email it says free shipping, here is the link as it is in my inbox: http://e3ai.gearbest.com/r/link/12d4bII7f5e0550fIIa014II3b5371II7f5e05532II5
Why is this expired, its still available but using this IT$MPN564
I actually bought this 4GB 64GB version a few days ago when it was posted at around £155. Turned up fine yesterday or the day before. I tend to avoid AliExpress for expensive items as the one time I ordered a GPD Pocket it turned up marked as $100 worth of towels and Royal Mail wanted duties, taxes and a handling fee.
Fairs, never bought anything over 150 from GearBest but they have been okay for me, Banggood has the best delivery and service and prices aswell, the 20-40 days which is the only option on AliExpress puts me off
Just received the 3GB 32GB version from there, happy with service and seller. Read too many horror stories about gearbest that put me off, aliexpress isn't perfect same as anywhere, being akin to ebay, at least there's a bit more accountabilty there as sellers should want to stay in aliexpress' good books, as well as the customers who can rate sellers - little extra layer of protection along with paypal (at least no extra paypal fees with gearbest); who are gearbest accountable to if problems happen? Quite a few people said messages were ignored and they were lied to, can't be fussed with all that. I'm sure people have had smooth experiences with them but I'm not rich/patient enough to not care about the hassle of possible problems. I've had good aftercare customer service using aliexpress when things went wrong. I use gearbest for small purchases.
why do you use aliexpress? never undertstood why anyone would with the postage time
Coupon expired but can be bought for £346.50 here https://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/Global-ROM-Xiaomi-Mobile-Phone-MI-8-6GB-RAM-64GB-ROM-Snapdragon-S845-Octa-Core-3400mAh/3010045_32891105732.html
Can't get the coupon to work.
This, OnePlus 6 is overrated but it does come with a warranty
This or oneplus 6?
I cant find any reference to a official global rom for the Mi8 at the moment, but there are a couple of sellers on aliexpress Hong Kong Goldway here https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Original-Xiaomi-Mi-8-Mi8-Mobile-Phone-6GB-RAM-64GB-ROM-Snapdragon-845-Octa-Core-6/32881564610.html and MI global store who have a official global rom that supports OTA update version for sale at least that's what they claim so perhaps there is a official global rom. There is a global launch event on the 24th July in Madrid (spain) ,so it could be that the global rom version will launch officially then, as the Explorer model goes on sale to the public then (24th July) for the first time for 3699 RMB = £418 that's before any 3rd party mark up. Also it is believed they will launch the Mi A2 in Madrid as well. Another bit of info the Mi Max 3 is launching on the 19th July in China all that is known officially at the moment is that it will have a 6.9" screen and a 5500 mAh battery.
Could of done with a couple
£1.31 now cold!
It's £1.31 now
Delivered free within 15 - 30 business days :o
Does this work with Ps3 or is that the mini usb
Tried to order but says my email couldn’t be found , gave up
Ah thanks for this. A lot more than £1! And pretty terrible reviews, looks like there is a real opportunity for someone in this market if this is the only thing available.
Spotify needs to connect to the internet and run on dedicated software, so it's not likely to come on cheap screenless tat like this device. You'd be better buying an old android or iPod probably, and you'd have to download all your songs on wifi before you go unless you're going to dedicate a 4G SIM to it.
Don't waste your time on these. After long wait (about a month), adding carbon emissions to ship all the way to uk, you will find the item not even decent quality, then you will be responsible for another electrical waste which damaging to environment. Use your old phone instead
No band 20. Thanks for this. I really wish this was high-lighted on all phones without it.
I was looking at this phone a month ago, few things that made me look away: *No b20 - not an issue for some but not sure how this will affect coverage when roaming *At the time, no way to root These may not be a problem for everyone, but was for me.
Could be either a faulty unit or as you said a bad translate. My only off put is Gear best I wouldn't trust them with £400+. I know I'm covered with PayPal etc.
this is 120£ more expensive.. ..and there is no big difference on it
Yes that's the box. Triple tuner as I mentioned yes. 2 x DVB-T2 (Freeview watch one and record another/record two as long as you are watching one) and a single Satellite tuner should you be able to make use of it..
Sweeeeeet!, thanx. :-) I'm assuming that the Zgemma H5.2TC Box to which you speak of is this one then: https://www.zgemma.co.uk/zgemma-h5.2tc By the way, it's fresh out of stock on Amazon. :-( Lol eBay has this though: https://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Zgemma-H5-2TC-FTA-HD-Tripl-Tuner-Watch-One-Record-Two-At-Same-Time/192494220090?hash=item2cd18cb33a:g:LB0AAOSwLahautHc&_nkw=Zgemma+H5.2TC&_from=R40&rt=nc&_trksid=p2380057.m4084.l1313.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.XZgemma+H5.2TC.TRS0 And interestingly enough, the eBay seller describes their Box like this: "Genuine Zgemma H5.2TC FTA HD Tripl Tuner Watch One Record Two At Same Time." Official UK Distributor * 100% Original * NEXT DAY DEL Unless I'm missing something ...
Possibly. Android devices (especially rooted ones) can have issues playing Sky, Netflix etc but if you can get one then yes, it can be a pretty much all in one box, with one exception in that if you have DVB-T2 requirements (Ariel Freeview) and you want to watch one program whilst recording another then there isn't an Android box on the planet that can yet do that. It's only a single tuner option for DVB-T2. It often requires a lot of research to find the right one. But if you do want a box that supports OTA, IPTV and has dial DVB-T2 tuners (plus one satellite) then the best value one right now is the Zgemma H5.2TC and I would favour it over any of the V boxes.
So, let me get this straight, IF I wanted a 'Box' similar to my earlier mentioned 'V' Boxes, but I wanted them to be all singing, all dancing, etc ... With SKY capabilities, OTA/IPTV TV functionality, and what have you's, lol. Then the OP's Deal is rather my best then? (over that of a V7, V8, OR V9 Box instead?), or ... thanx. :-)
They are Linux based, which does tend to enable modifications. It all comes down to what functionality you want and what each option has to offer. If you want to use a wade range of apps, games etc and also want OTA/IPTV TV then these are more suited as an all in one box type solution. If you just want the OTA/IPTV TV functionality with what for some boxes will come with more support, then they can be great. Personally if in the market for the latter then I would check out the Zgemma range.
Mine are being a pain the the arse connecting to smart things, after adding them they stay on there and work for about a week then suddenly they stop communicating to the hub..! Annoying!
I've had mine for over 1y and haven't need to replace the batteries yet. They probably get pressed 1 or 2 times per day.
out of stock :(
Not without another hub like smartthings. Anyway, there's nothing better to control hue than the hue wireless dimmer. I've got smartthings and use these xiaomi switches but not for my hue.
Does anyone know how long these roughly last between charges? Cheers
