I'll say it time and time again - not everybody wants gamepass

At any other point in time, I'd agree fully with you, but given that Microsoft are currently giving a 1:1 on your Xbox Live Gold to also include Game Pass AND Game Pass PC, why would anybody pass that up?

£37 here for a game, and then the next, and the next. Three games later you've dropped around £120. Which is the same price as three years Xbox Live Gold, which once converted is three years Xbox Live Gold, Game Pass and Game Pass PC.

Bigger picture.

Normally I'm in agreement with @thewrecker7477 on the subject of 'not everybody wants gamepass' etc and personally I've only taken up Gamepass very recently and since actually converted my Gold sub (which was maxed out at 36 months) to Ultimate via the £1 deal. I'd honestly have to side with @BuzzDuraband at this point, with a Game like this that's due to hit Gamepass on day 1 it's hard to argue the case for buying the game outright for £37, when there's just better value to be had by converting a Gold sub to Ultimate on a long term basis for £1.

Unless you just completely object to Gamepass in any shape or form or simply don't have/use Gold, purchasing this particular game is just not financially worthwhile.

Anyhoo. Voted hot for the best price on this pre-release

Just makes financial sense...you are paying the same for a digital game you probably wont be playing in 12 months time. With the game pass you will get this game (for the same price) plus hundreds more including new releases. I have bought the game pass purposely for gears, so just sharing that info for any other readers who come across this so they can make their own decision.
Play every mode in 4K Ultra HD resolution with stunning HDR at a smooth 60 frames per second. Very nice.
Not a bad price for game sharers still . But I have Xbox live till next October thanks to the 3 months £10 deal with the extra month free so I’m not buying any new games hoping they come on game pass but £11 a month is steep if you ask me

It might have been better if it was physical as at least you might have some trade in value.

Cheers, pal
Don't touch Cdkeys any longer . We have ongoing issues trying to get a steam key corrected which has suddenly stopped working saying its a duplicate key.

Check posts recently on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate where people were buying xbox live gold and receiving duplicate keys.

Used to recommend CDKEYS but can no longer support them or will buy from them again !!

BEWARE

Never had an issue with them and I'll keep on using them, thankyou
Heat added, really weird that they didn't show us any gameplay footage at the Xbox conference as it's out in September.
This will also be the itlimate edition on game pass not the standard

Don't be a pirate, cdkeys are brilliant with excellent customer service.

Anyone with an Xbox One that doesn't see £10.99 a month for Live & a ton of games including all first party Microsoft Studios games, all DLC, and in many cases early access...

Is an idiot...

And I don't even have an Xbox, I'm stuck with Sony and their tight asses.

Same here.. no problems on any recent purchase...have the folks getting used codes had replacements or refunds.?
Years ago they sent me a used code for gold but they replaced with new code really quickly (same day from memory)

My thoughts exactly. Gears showing at E3 was so underwhelming.
Sorry but if you buy this outright instead of using that money towards game pass to play this and 100+ other games then you are a complete fool.
I love gamepass for one reason only, it makes games alot cheaper for those who want to buy them for their collection. But the point of this site is to highlight products at low prices, not to plug gamepass in every deal, we get it people are happy with a service where you don't own your games and they can get taken off when ever Microsoft feels like it. This is a great price for a new release, especially when it is a AAA title.

I see the bigger picture too.....as I wear spectacles.
Title is wrong =) they've officially dropped the 'of War', it's just Gears 5
Still a bullet sponger?
Game Pass all the way in this one, especially if it's as short (and as weak) as GOW4, you'll be glad you never bothered wasting money preordering it.

Yeh but the key difference is you don't own the game, which (which buying can be done cheaper with game sharing).
If you don't get live or means you have to pay to play, in the case of non first party games, they can dissappear at any time.
Great service GPU but not for everyone.
Heat as this is the best deal on it and it's even digital!

With ultimate gamepass until 2022, I would be skipping on this.

It doesnt matter if you dont own it...pay £1 for game pass to play the game for as long as it remains on there, if they take it off go and buy gears to own for a fraction of the price it costs at release, its a win win either way, not difficult to understand.....bigger picture!

Your right. Without sounding lazy, I’m on pc. I have an Xbox gamer tag and want to get in on this gamer pass ultimate.
Can it be done yet? If so where and what do you suggest cos I would lobe to get games going on the pc.
Juat about to pre order, massive thanks to you.
