This is a very good card for the money. It's basically a 9600 GSO (before they neutered it) and performs on par with the 9600 GT which sells for a lot more.

Hmm, why're people voting this cold? Thought it was a pretty good deal myself. Very good mid-range card.

Do not worry, there are hundreds of idiots browsing this forum.Post your deals for those who are able to benefit from your effort.Very good deal, maybe not brilliant as HD4670 is just £10 more, but it still may attract some.£50 delivered for gaming card? Has to be +9

I would say that the 8800GS will probably be a bit faster than an HD4670. It is after all exacly the same GPU as he 9600GSO. However it does consume much more power as it needs a molex PCI-E power connector which the HD4670 does not need and also only has 384mb of video RAM which may become a limitation in future games!!

I currently have NVIDIA GeForce 8300 GS - bog standard of the 8000 series that came pre-installed from Dell on a Vista machine. Now I'm not a big PC gamer so don't know alot about video cards, have never replaced one. However I did just buy rFactor because I want to play some of the F1 mods available. Would this card be much of an improvement over the 8300? Worth 50 quid? Cheers.

It would be a massive improvement over your 8300gs. Just make sure your case takes full height cards. Some Dell machines will only take half-height.

I think you'll see quite a nice jump in FPS with this card, I think its worth £50 at least. Check out Live For Speed too if you like rFactor ( lfs.net/ ).

I am also developing a simulator (still about a year away from finishing) - I have a few vids on youtube if you are interested youtube.com/Ash…ell

Guys, how would this compare to an X1950 Pro Radeon, any ideas?

Wondering whether to stay with current card, go with this one, or go with the 8800GT on the same site:

Well the 8800GS is on par with a 9600GT.

Taking a look at that as a guideline and it looks like the 8800GS will be significantly faster. To be honest, I would wait a few weeks until ATI releases their HD 4890 in April. You'll probably be able to pick up a 4850 for not too much more.

Or, if you're really patient, you could wait until May when ATI releases their 4750 and 4770 when prices for the current gen cards will tumble.

What is this? peddle the **** overpriced card to public day?

All I'm seeing is a reasonably priced card - not sure which thread you are at!

Anyone know if pipelines can be unlocked on this card?

EDIT: After some googling it appears not.

sorted, looking for a couple of these.... SLI on the way, a bargain card, which is extremely powerful...

oh yes, buy it and smile, the difference will be night and day...

hello there
I bought 1 from the website,
then decided to search it on ebay, grab a XFX oc version for 45 £
