You'll still need a sub right?
I signed up for this months ago, it works on a queue system, why post something you can't gain access too? Unless you purchase a Shield TV

That's me
It has been free for quite sometime now and you would need a subscription service with games from either blizzard, origin etc to play any games.

Aaaaaaaaaaages ago. Probably round when it was first announced. Just got in last week.
I have been signed up for this for months and not paid a penny. I thought it was remaining free until they had ironed out the lag issues and bugs before release.

It’s always been free up to now and doesn’t work that great either as the connections to the EU server even on my fibre line are laggy

I wouldn’t pay for this in at its current system performance

why always beta?
Can someone advise. We have a Nvidia shield TV media streamer. The kids play their steam games on it because all our PCs are ancient. Are they using this Geoforce Now and will they have to pay for the pleasure soon?
So It's in close beta & if you don't have a shied Tv you're put on a waiting list to get it, very misleading.

Works perfect for me. I have mine wired tho playing all sorts of games on it and even online multiplayer and have had no issues ? Not to say you aren't tho as like you said still in its beta form so hopefully they fix problems for everyone.

Eventually they will have to pay a fee yes.

I have only played simple games within my Steam Library like Civilisation that doesn't require decent FPS but it still has issues rendering and causing screen glitches.

I am connected via Ethernet LAN side and have Fibre 80Mbps WAN side.

I am using GeforceNOW on a MAC though, you are probably Windows? eitherway the games I've been playing aren't graphic intensive so it shouldn't struggle but does!

I wouldn't pay for this service as is.
Where do you sign up?
I’m on 70Mbps wired connection, keep getting high packet loss warning. Shield is great for streaming games off my PC though

I'm using the shield TV not sure that has any benefit and i have 350mbs so that probably helps.

High packet loss warning all the time on our shield also
Have it on the Shield Tv, really impressed. Works very well. Right now playing AC Origins flawlessly, and saves are sync'd over the cloud. All available graphics settings can be maxed out, all apparently running on a 24gb NVIDIA Tesla GPU. Can play games from my origin, ubi, steam accounts

How do you play origin games ?

They can either get detected by the Nvidia Experience program or you can add games manually to it, I assume the person means streaming from PC as I have not see options to add the Origin account directly in the Shield, which kind makes sense as they are rival services.
Good experience with NV shield over average broadband, though I did notice more dropped packets around peak internet time (4pm-8pm) the Tesla GPU it uses costs thousands and you are sharing time on one for free!
Been in this for months, not a new deal.
thy are cuttng their own throats with this though? if it works well nobody is gonna shell £499 for a gtx 1160 are they? or maybe it kills intel and amd graphics ... and then .. profit!

Not really, this way they get to charge you an ongoing subscription, lasting months/years! them having a constant cash flow is better for forecasts and shareholders.

Some people only upgrade their graphics card every 5 years or more, plus this way you can game on any device anywhere (if it worked correctly!).

You won't have to take your gaming rig with you when your away from home or have a spec'd up gaming laptop to play the latest games, this will in some instances with good internet, help the PC gaming market as a good reason its not as popular nowadays is because of people not having the money or time to upgrade their PC's to run the latest AAA titles. This will eliminate the need to have a decent gaming rig.

Personally I hate the way the industry is going.
Games that can only be played when connected to the internet or PSN/Microsoft services.
Lack of Single Player games with good story driven content that isn't purposefully cut down in size to enable them to sell DLC along the way.
Everything being reliant on an internet connection, if your internet is down you just cant play at all anymore on a lot of titles.

I have stopped purchasing from publishers that use micro transactions/pay to win and drip feed their content out over DLC's.

No, actually this person here meant that you can stream your origin games with geforce-now. Did that with bf1. And it also works streaming from the Pc. Both methods work
It's a bit rubbish. Appreciate its beta. Can barely get newer titles to work . Gave up on it.
