Back with the European Amazon nvidia graphics card deals which are, for some reason, always £30-£100 cheaper than the UK, though this one is over £100 cheaper than on Amazon UK.

Card itself is €719.99, and with shipping it's €726.34

Paid for in Euro with a fee free card (Halifax clarity, etc) it's around £645.86. Not in stock but in my experience have found that the stock usually comes in 1-2 weeks with these cards unless they specifically say 1-2 months (this one doesn't)

All GPUs everywhere are out of stock or low stock due to mining. The only way to get a GPU right now is to pre-order, unless there's a blanket ban on GPU deals.
A bite here, after the never gonna happen misprice over there last week. Thanks. 3 year warranty and go by amazon doesn't seem that bad to me, just shame is not the xtreme.
Great price
Can someone tell me what is coil whine cause I was thinking of getting the white version of this but this seems to be quite cheaper however everyone is saying it's plagued with coil whine. Is this true and can u tell me how much of an issue this could be?

Coil whine is when electronic hardware emits a high-pitch "whine" and in the case of GPUs it's usually when there's a load places on the silicon (when the GPU is working hard, like when you're playing a game) which you obviously don't want to hear when playing a game. Though some workarounds include having a sound-dampened case.
Statistically, Gigabyte-made aftermarket GPUs tend to suffer from coil whine more often that their competitors, though I personally have yet to encounter a Gigabyte card with this issue.
I have 7 and no coil whine from any

It is a very cheap card though. Wouldn't recommend for gamers

Just good for miners because of its low price for a 1080ti and decent resale value

what do you mine with it
Bitcoins I’m guessing. It’s because of these guys the price has stayed so high and they are so damned hard to get when there is a deal.

Who knows if we will even see Volta as a standard consumer product, with the rumours suggesting it will be skipped.

Yeah, it seems the only way to buy a decent graphics card these days is to mine some Bitcoin and get rich from it - except for that you need a decent graphics card in the first place.

3 years ago I paid around £200 for a 780 Ti, which had been out for 14 months at the time. The 1080 Ti has been out for 11 months - I can't see it dropping to £200 in the next 3 months.

I've got an Asus Strix OC and while it doesn't whine while mining it does when running games at high FPS. If you've got some time, try to run the Unigine Valley benchmark on some of them. Mine whines signifcantly with it.
