16GB (4 x 4GB) of DDR4-2400 memory

Geil is not the most premium brand but for this price should be OK at rated speed or maybe 2666

I've had 8GB of Geil DDR3 running in my system for about 4 years trouble free. If it's not DOA it'll probably last a lifetime.

Reviews suggest this kit doesnt overclock very well but at 2400 it should be OK for mainstream intel use. Faster RAM would be better for Ryzen.

This is terrible. Don't buy it.
Memory manufacturers formed a price cartel
Yeah I'm curious too as to why this is a bad deal, DDR 4 is flipping expensive at the moment

All these cheap memory deals from Azon never come to pass .. I've had two fail, and just noticed that 16gb (2x8gb) ddr4 3000 I have on order ,has now changed to 1x8gb stick .. so this will be the third ...

ALtho I do get between £8-10 off/credit each time (amazon chat), but then sometimes amazon is not the cheapest supplier
Consumer rights?

Nothing wrong with Geil memory it was the darling of overclockers with ddr3

Its 4x4gb instead of 2x8gb(meaning less room for upgrade), its very slow, bottom of the barrel ram. Its not even in stock

Don't think it's that bad personally. Provided you have a 4 slot motherboard, which admittedly seem rare at the low end sadly, you can enjoy all 16GB of it, which is still comfortably enough for any game and most other tasks. Latency and to a lesser extent speed don't make much real world difference, especially considering DDR3 to 4 in general is considered a minor bump overall.

I have owned Geil DDR3 in the past without issue, so doubt they are as bad as the doom mongerors are saying....

Actually, DDR2133 is bottom of the barrel and to be honest, this will probably run at 2666 without an issue.

4x4Gb should also be OK, given that 16GB for the next few years (at least until DDR5 becomes mainstream) should be more than sufficient.

All things considered, its not a bad set to go for £110.

Some CPUs don't play well with 4 sticks, particularly the Ryzen 2200g and 2400g.

This isn't that great of deal and it's not that great of product.
God damn is one decent stick of 8gb too much to ask for? Got 8 in there, want 8 more not a faff about jolly jaunt poo pants balls crap
boo got cancelled today
