Hmmm.
A tent, named after somewhere under the Atlantic?
Does not bode well. oO

It's what the new residents of Atlantis now use to keep the large quantities of water out, hence the good reviews!

Didn't bode well for Gelert, they were in administration until last week when they were purchased by Sports Direct.

Many thanks for posting OP, you just saved me about £40 on a similar product. I forgot to put in additional code so I will punch myself in the face later but still a cracking deal. Cheers.

They've got the 4 man Horizon tent for £79.99 aswell (So £74.99 with voucher) - this is nearly £200 on the Argos website!

Same sentiments, thanks for posting. Ive been looking around the sales at similar tents from brands I've never heard of for 40-50 quid. This was exactly what I was looking for, a reasonable brand, well at least I've heard of it, well reviewed and for 35 quid... A steal in my opinion...

is this double skinned, it says inner and outer but can tell

and now OOS again

maybe try it in the garden at the weekend

EliTom

Back in stock just ordered for delivery via paypal, and used the 2nd £5 off coupon.

Cheers. just ordered one

Just ordered. Great price and free delivery.

for anyone deliberating this deal - here are my views after getting this tent on Monday and putting it up in the garden yesterday

very nice quality and design

bedroom area is double skinned with a good 2-3 inch air gap between layer for good air flow to keep inner skin dry and free from condensation.

Front "porch" area is single skin.

Front door could be used as an awning if you found the correct size poles and some spare guy cable.

Sleeping area is fine for 2 - would be cosy for 3. The Gelert site shows the sleeping layout as in the direction on the tent but this would be very tight - it's barely 6 feet in this direction - much better if you lie cross ways

time to put up - about 15 minutes for one person

its the royal blue colour - as shown in the pic although sure it said somewhere on the ToysRus site it was green - blu looks good

Don't know how easy it will be to pack up - not took it down yet

all in all a great buy for weekends away or festivals - ours is for next months Rewind Festival at Henley

EliTom

update ... took it down in about 10-15 minutes - all poles came out easily and it packed up very easily back into the storage bag

all in all a great tent suitable for light to medium use (great for festivals) even if it does rain the front area is ample for 2 people to chill out in.

mine was green and I used it at winster in the peak district this weekend. porch area was bigger than expected but you can fit a double airbed in it side ways as length ways its a very tight fit. be used at goodwood festival of speed next week.

Good deal but seems a bit heavy at 8.6kg especially if you're gunna lug it around to a festival

how heavy is the packed bag? i.e. tough to carry for 30min easy walk/hike?

Mine was the blue, apart from getting the yellow marked pole in the wrong slot, it is fantastic.
Much better quality than the tesco half price ones, looking forward to using it correctly.

How can a place be called "OLDBury"?
Surely it was new when it was built.
Who would call somewhere new, old?
Or was it originaly called "Bury" and changed to Oldbury when another Bury was built?
Nah.
That's daft.
If so, where's OldYork, Oldcastle, etc?

Got this tent after seeing it on here and it is fantastic. My husband is not a camper and I have been looking for something with a decent height and living area for me and the 2 kids that I can handle on my own. This ticks all the boxes and the sewn in groundsheet and sleeping area make it so much easier. Had it up in 20 minutes single handed and can't wait to try it out properly at the end of the month.

Thanks. Just bought one as I needed a cheap but semi-decent tent. Great reviews!

Oh bad news at the weekend the tent leaked badly. Well it was first time it had rained since I've had it.
Just popped back to toysrus and swaped it. Fingers crossed tent no. 2 don't do the same.

Sorry to read that.
Good luck.

Where did it leak.

I used mine for the first time this weekend at the fantastic Silverstone Classic event. Saturday was an amazing stormy night, and my tent was as dry as a bone!.

Did you make sure the door flaps were all in place with the toggles?

Is this now £49.99?
