Gelert Atlantis 4-man tent (colour: peppercorn, antler and black ink) £58.98 delivered @ Amazon

Seems like a bargain – I was looking for a tent which isn't going to leak in normal use (which for me means festivals, mostly) and is big enough for 2/3 people, with a built-in groundsheet and preferably big enough to stand up in. This fulfils those criteria, and has a sizeable living space as well as the sleeping area. From the reviews I've read it also seems like it's easy to put up and take down.

I saw this tent posted on HUKD through an ebay seller at £70.98 including delivery, and was tempted. But I checked Amazon and discovered that it's a tenner cheaper there, so I ordered one last night. Note: Amazon have dropped their price by a couple of quid since I posted this, so I updated the price.

Thanks simplyjimbo. The 3rd party price is a couple of pounds cheaper once you add on postage of £4.99, but I decided that I'd prefer to buy from Amazon. Still it's a good way to save even more.

Good price, bought one, thanks for sharing!

Thanks wagamamaluva. Now I wish I'd waited till this morning (although maybe the price wouldn't have dropped without alive, and possibly others, buying it?)

I've edited the price. Hope that's the done thing.

No worries. Amazon yo yo prices every minute. Doubt it will get any cheaper, but you never know.

The page of reviews which I linked to includes a floor plan which might help.

yes saw it, and went to the main gelert page , where the tent is loads of money.....some mixed reviews there, like the main tent zip ripping open in the wind ?.......tempted still to get this , as the old colmon bispace 500....getting a bit worn now..

quidco now pay cashback amazon outdoor item

Ordered, 5% quidco :))

Thanks OP just ordered. Also with 5% quidco and 5% NUS student discount. Hopefully it will keep us dry at Bestival!

Not the same model but I've got a Gelert Horizon 6 (cost £200 a couple of years ago, so slightly higher budget) and it's dealt with some absolute downpours admirably, has some nice features and is easy to put up. If I needed a 2 person (or 2 adults 1 child) tent I wouldn't dismiss this one - some of the Gelert gear is very good VFM.

Went for this for Glasto Bought a good pop up one last time but it broke when we were putting it away! This seems brilliant though! Still selling for £120 or more in other shops!

it says built in groudsheet but also selling a groudsheet you can buy separately ? confused

Amazon price back up to £128.40 so plumped for third party seller. Not sure why as I have no need for it! Darn you HotUkDeals for another impulse purchase!

If I understand correctly, using the separate groundsheet in addition makes it easier to clean after use (as you don't need to clean the tent itself just the separate groundsheet. I'm no expert on these things though, I only ever camp at festivals really (although that may change once this arrives, if we get any decent weather this summer).

Ordered, thanks jdo_travel

Mine arrived this morning – I'm always impressed by the speed of Super Saver delivery. I'll probably take it out and check everything's there this afternoon.

I set mine up over the weekend, and it was very quick. It took two of us, after a couple of beers, about 20 minutes to put it up other than the guy ropes (we didn't want to have to tie those back up again). Now that we've done it once, I'm confident that we could do the whole thing including guy ropes in 20 minutes (assuming there isn't too much wind). It's definitely a two-person job, the structure is quite unwieldy until you have it upright and pegged down.

I'm pretty much a complete beginner when it comes to tents, but very pleased with this one. It's really spacious and I can stand up in it (just about). It seems like there's good air circulation too. I'm very pleased with the purchase.

Thanks for the review, has given me confidence that I bought the right tent. Can you tell me if the poles were pre-installed with elastic cord - I read somewhere they weren't

Mine already had the cord running through. Pushing the poles through, they came apart a couple of times but it was easy to put them back together thanks to the cord.
