If you fall over and hurt yourself out in the sticks. The St.Bernard will find you quicker.

if you require assistance at sea, you might attract the attention of a passing sailor !!!

in all seriousness the whistle is essential kit for being found in poor visibility when you're hungry, wet and tired. I've got this exact kit and could be bought in most outdoor shops like blacks etc. I think mine was closer to £5 so good deal. Obviously the size of this kit indicates it's best suited to hikers and ramblers. However, if you were looking to a first aid kit for a car or an actual holiday then i'd recommend buying something more substantial. The only extra kit you really need for a car first aid pack would be a blanket and some chocolate really.

Good Find.

great find ideal for home or car voted hot thx

as above but also I believe it's easier and uses less energy to whistle with an actual whistle than to shout for help.

This is hot, sensible, practical, and at four quid its difficult to see who cars don't come with one when they are new.

However, the whistle should be able to play various different notes, thereby enabling you to become an accomplished musician whilst waiting upon the ambulance arriving.

Doh - too late, out of stock, was going to get a load of these for the mtb club.
