Have you tried doing anything in Windows 10 with 32GB Storage, a N3350 Processor and 3GB RAM?
Don't answer until the day you finish.

Publix is 100% right: you should include a cost for increasing the SSD by at least another 64 gig if not more. The spec says you can add it easily via a panel underneath.

Right based on no comparison?

Most laptops have a way of extended storage but nobody would ever ask to include the cost of additional storage.

mod

Cheers cidharten that seems to be very decent for the price

The number of chromebook firmware modders out there asking to dual boot with Windows is not uncommon. The specs and price match a typical chromebook so they should be all over this.

as for me (another CB mod phreak) has some heat but my leisuredays of windows-ing have long since passed.

tesco sell this as well for 200
so will be interesting to see in store first.
windows 10 runs ok with 2gb so 3gb will be fine for most purposes.
i have the n3350 in my netbook and its fine for, internet office etc.
its about double the speed of some of the older celerons.

my netbook has a 32gb drive ,after a fresh install of windows with the backup partition removed, leaves about 20gb free. plus i disable windows updates .

Have you seen this in store in Tesco before? I see on Tesco direct sold by box.co.uk. Also available from Amazon for 200 sold by box. If you directly buy from box.co.uk, you can get it for 179.97 with 5% quidco.

no , was hoping they would sell it instore , but maybe not.
i would not buy it unless i could try it first or at least see a youtube review.
its the screen and metal case that are the main selling points

I am considering getting it for 200 from Amazon as it is showing as prime eligible so that the returns will be easier.

Would it be possible to swap the os from the 32gb drive to a new SSD? I have found Windows updates to be problematic and always failing on 32gb partitions.

Reviews on Tescos website

I was recommended this laptop by my friend and I am so glad I went ahead with the purchase. It is very thin and handy in an aluminium body. The box packaging is sleek and the logo is aesthetic. It feels almost like holding a Mac Book Air.
The actual speed lets me multitask loads of programs without slowing down. The battery is reasonable, I spent about 4 hours watching YouTube videos and surfing and it only used half of the battery life!
It's easily upgradable to the 256GB SSD storage through a panel on the underside of the laptop, which I actually did myself buying one from Amazon. The screen is a perfectly high quality IPS screen. Its perfect for work and watching HD videos. I would definitely recommend this laptop to anyone that reads this you wont regret it. Very decent laptop!!

Great Laptop
I have been enjoying this laptop for 3 weeks now, and recommend to my sister who is also very please. Laptop is made out of aluminium and is really thin. Battery Lasts 8 hours and is really fast on the internet.

Price comes to £199.97 for me

I ended up ordering from Amazon for 200 for peace of mind in case I have to return. I had an Amazon gift card which I bought for 10% off so paid only 180 :).

these are reviews from the Tesco web site, not me

I have purchased Gemini products before mostly android tablet all have them been awful in terms of poor Wi-Fi or general reliability issues that develop initially to 6 months of item. I don't know if they have improved or if this is any good but thought I would let people know about the brand.

Likely simply a branded generic OEM device, the difficulty is finding the most common rebrand to stand a chance of finding model-specific parts in future (replacement batteries, etc). Similar items are branded Bben but there will be others.
Maybe ask a seller for the contact details for the company that provides the "Gemini 12 Month Collect & Return Warranty"?

I posted this in response to the 'Nice but no 1080p' comments on laptop deals. This is what happen when OEM go the other way at the expense of the everything else.

You can chance a 256GB from China Aliexpress for £57 aliexpress.com/ite…tml
If OEMs include 128GB or 256GB, 1GB more memory (3GB is abit of an oddity). They can still charge an extra £100 with some margins to make this £280 and it will compete favourably with the other sub £500 laptop with similar specs. There is prob something in the windows licensing agreement which prevents this though.

Well it'll keep those that cold vote every non 1080p laptop deal happy despite the fact this will look great and perform like a 2 legged dog untill you install an SSD. Still it is cheap so you pays your money and takes your chances.

How did you get your 10% off VBV?

I usually stock up on Amazon gift cards when someone is selling them on forums. I currently have few hundreds in my account bought at 10% off.

COLD

3350
3GB RAM
32GB eMMC (Win10 must take up most of that).

The Jumper EZB 3 Pro is easily the better deal for £160 delivered.

spannerzone6 h, 25 m ago

Not necessarily. Just depends on the eMMC they've used. A Sammy 5.1 spec and speeds will be fine - certainly faster than an HDD. That said, this whole laptop is a poor deal so its waste of money buying this and then sticking an M.2 drive in.

I got mine delivered yesterday. Not bad for the price. I upgraded to the windows fall creator version and cleared old windows files. Have 14gb left in the drive. Browsing and YouTube seems fine. Not good for multitasking. The only additional component I have installed is Norton security. There is a micro SD slot. I am planning to put a 64gb card and use it for any additional software to be installed.
