2015 model. 50, 56, 58 and 60cm in stock. Sora shifters and mechs, double-butted alu frame and carbon forks. Good price for a well regarded British manufacturer. Free delivery.

Tiagra version also available for £489, but honestly older Tiagra isn't that much of a step up.

Tiagra is 10sp though so easier to swap for 105/Ultegra bits when they wear out.

9.7kg. Nice. For the sub £450 pricetag, great deal.

I think you might have just sold me on the tiagra version

105/Ultegra is 11 speed though. Only old stock would be 10 speed.

Good bike. Good price. Voted hot.

Upgrade to tiagra for £60, unless you're using this for a 5 mile commute you'll notice the benefit.

Either bike great deal for solid bike, great winter trainer/commuter bike with solid frame from a good brand

Yes, plenty of 10-speed 105 and Ultegra components still around though.

Go 9-speed and your options are much more limited.

I'm not.... totally sure (computers are more my mastermind topic of choice than bikes) but I think most 10 speed setups would take an 11 speed relatively easily? If not, I can go about upgrading in a path that "works".

10 speed to 11 isn't too easy, only the chainset and front mech are really compatible and brakes obviously. You'd need new wheels, shifters, cassette, chain and rear mech, It'd probably work out cheaper to buy the whole groupset.

You would need a new chainset (or replace the cogs) too. 11 speed chains are narrower so won't fit on 10 speed chainrings.

You wouldn't necessarily need new wheels - a lot of wheels made recently are 11 speed compatible and use a small spacer on the freehub to accmmodate the slightly narrower 9/10 speed cassettes.

Personally I'd have a long think about whether the extra for the Tiagra was worth it and only go for it if I had the cash to spare. I have sora, tiagra and ultegra and whilst each is better than the last at the end of the day they all work OK.

Absolutely, but if a bike is used properly then I'd always consider things like cassettes as consumables. Depending on the miles done it may take a few years but eventually you'll be looking to replace some/all of the drivetrain and at that point I'd rather have the option of spending a bit more for a bit of an upgrade.

Won't make me go up hills any quicker but at that point I'd happily spend £5 more to get a 105 cassette than Sora.

The consensus on bike forums is that 10 Speed Chainsets work fine with 11 speed chains. Example Link.
