I have bought from eBay and always unsure if genuine same here but at least 7dayshop is a reliable EU retailer so hoping they truly are genuine!

It very hard to tell. Only you can judge the retailer claims but they have been an EU retailer for many years and have a return policy.

Worth a punt at this price.

worked fine for me - no problems at all. 3 for under a tenner delivered!

Definetly £3.42 after applying the discount code.

thanks OP

£3.30 delivered

Thanks, came out at £3.42.

Fine - and a good price if you actually need an Apple charger. But a standard USB charger (which most people have plenty of) will do the job just as well.

Orange items are dispatched outside EU. VAT not applicable. Delivery inclusive (3-5 days)

They could still be fake

Code 'clearance' not working for me...

2 ordered for £6.67 for both with free delivery. Thanks op.

I much prefer these due to faster charging of the newer iPhones

Thanks op

Possible Quidco at 7.7%?

And code may be "CLEARANCE"...

Has anyone on here bought from 7dayshop before? I mean phone accessories, primarily iphone chargers etc?

did it turn out to be genuine?

read on watchdog/news that some Apple chargers/usb were fake on Amazon.. and i mean the ones that are (sold and dispatched by amazon)

Cheers OP, 2 ordered for £6.60 delivered.

Genuine or not they will do the job just fine.

How many amps is this?

EDIT it appears to be 2.1A

Those who manage to successfully ordered and once you get it update on this post whether its actually genuine or not.

if it turns out to be genuine I might think suicide

Damn! Would've snapped a couple of these up!

These will be 100% fake - 7Dayshop may well be classed as an EU. Retailer but in reality no more so than gearbeasts eu warehouse or similar. They are well known for fakes across the board on a variety of products. This really is a too good to be true moment. Lucky they are out of stock

Exactly, read other HUKD posts on 7dayshop apple products, they're fake. It's been proved time after time.
Why would a genuine product not have genuine packaging?

Garbage. 7dayshop has an excellent reputation and is about as likely to sell fakes as Amazon itself.

Re. The packaging - I recently bought an iPhone charger from Amazon (dispatched and sold by Amazon) and it was packed in a plastic bag, no packaging. I read the fake guides and none of the telltale signs match up.

The (newer) Apple ones are 12W. Used to be £15 (which was a reasonable price), post Brexit £19. If you need this for an iPad, recommend sticking with the Apple Charger (from Apple.com/Apple Store).

Lots of fakes about, very difficult to tell unless you pull it apart and see the state of the internals. Some have been shown to have dangerously narrow tracks between the 240V AC and the 5V rails. Not worth playing with fire (literally), for £10-15.

Most of that makes perfect sense. You're missing one key point though: 7dayshop does not sell fakes and there's no evidence to suggest they ever have done. They do however sell smallish quantities of surplus stocks and that's what they were selling here. And that's why they sold out of these so quickly.

You can of course simply use a standard USB charger which will work just as well.

Read other threads that have been posted for 7dayshop apple products. Many other people's experience's suggest otherwise. Google also suggests otherwise and some reviews on 7dayshop itself that have leaked through even say they are not genuine. I'd err caution on anything that isn't packaged, especially when they say that's for added convenience!

To a degree it depends on what you call a "fake". These chargers will not be the same as the ones Apple sell (or sold) - but they will be genuine chargers that will charge apple devices, and will look very, very similar. Genuine as in they are exactly what the manufacturer says they are, not that they are the same that Apple sell Their wording is very clever and they don't at any point state that these are actually apple endorsed chargers. As others have said, it can be very hard to tell the difference even when you have the product, unless you take them apart (or you can also weigh them as the non-apple supplied ones typically weight a lot less). They may work fine - but a lot of these fake chargers have blown up in the past few years (relative to the apple sold ones - probably still talking hundreds rather than thousands) and I personally wouldn't take the risk to save £10.

I've nothing against 7dayshop, you just have to be aware of what you are buying. Good retailer and good support (compared to most of the china outlets!) but they do have a reputation for selling the same tat as everyone else alongside some of the real products.
