    The otg part is important. Most adaptors don't support this. As I found out when plugging in a usb micro device to a modern phone (usb-c) using an adapter. Until I used an otg adapter the device wasn't recognised

    Useful adapters. I fished a few out of boxes over the years, only annoyance is the plug is flush (not on a pedestal like some) so you almost definitely have to peel back your case to fit these in, sometimes the dongle OTG adapters are better for that reason.
