Genuine WORX battery (WA3536) plus charger (WA3735) to suit their range of 40v cordless garden tools which use the single 40v battery (see list below). Battery alone is £69.99 but they are currently offering the battery plus the charger for just £29.99! Even non-WORX branded compatible batteries are considerably more expensive than this kit.

Fantastic deal if you have any of these tools (or buy any as body only). So cheap I wonder if these may even suit hobbyists for other purposes!

These WORX deals tend to end suddenly without warning so if you are interested I suggest ordering without delay.

I've noticed that the current range of 40v tools now use 2x20v batteries so if you have one of the earlier tools which take the single 40v battery it could be a wise time to buy while they are still available.

WORX 40V Twin Pack: Battery and Charger

The WORX WA3735 Li-ion 1 hour charger is suitable for all WORX 40V Li-ion garden products including the following: WG568E Blower, WG368E Chainsaw, WG168E Grass Trimmer, WG268E Hedge Trimmer and WG776E Lawn Mower.

Im looking for a spare for my hydroshot any cheap alternatives?
This is for the older 40V models, all the newer kit uses the 20V power share batteries ie 40V needs 2 x 20V powers packs. However a great deal if you have the older models.

Just notice the OP has actually added what I’ve said it was hidden text. Great post 🏻

Thanks. I've updated post to make it even clearer. It's a fantastic price but unfortunately all my WORX tools use the 20v type.
There are still some tools using the single 40v type being sold by third party sellers. Anyone buying one of those would be well advised to buy this kit as a spare too..

If you mean a 20v hydroshot (I think 40v models also exist?) then you may want to consider this Erbauer from Screwfix. It fits the previous (non EXT) Erbauer tools but is fully compatible with the WORX 20v range (or two of them on the later WORX 40v tools). I presume Positecworx supplied those previous Erbauer tools. Guild and previous design JCB 20v batteries are also compatible.

If you're lucky enough to have an Argos clearance near you then they've had guild batteries in there for £2.99... they fit the worx 18v range. I bought 4 for mine.

That's terrific. How recent was that?

It was in February 😬, bit the stores have been closed for two months so the stock may still be there

Good point! Which store and were there plenty? I did buy a few (at £9.99 I think) in Argos a while back but then they were showing out of stock.

They're only 1.5Ah but perfectly good in low drain tools like a drill.

I suspect they reduce them as they have a shelf life uncharged. If they get too low there's a risk they won't charge again.

Thanks for posting. Got the WG168E strimmer that takes this and it’s a great piece of kit. Only the one battery though so tempted with this as a spare.
