I bought this laptop from this seller for my son’s Christmas present & it stated it was opened but unused. The laptop arrived & the box was sealed with cellophane so we didn’t actually see the laptop until Christmas Day & discovered damage to the mouse pad & a damaged charger that has now completely snapped & the wires are all exposed.
I am still waiting for Laptop Outlet to do something about it & have had to keep chasing them up so just bare that in mind when ordering! 49259323-CEiM4.jpg49259323-5W0xr.jpg49259323-GCmHt.jpg
Oh wow. That's bad! Mine arrived in pristine condition.

Got the 540 at Christmas - had the wifi issues but was able to solve.
For some reason, windows insists on automatically updating the wifi drivers to a version that's buggy,
Support got me to download/install the 540 drivers (took a few mins to install) and not a single wifi drop since.

How did the WiFi power saving settings help in the end? Noticed one of your earlier posts

Decent little laptop for the price.
I hear that Geobook build quality isn't the best but there's no denying the performance on offer for the money!

I ordered i5 recently - impressed with the device and performance. Build quality similar to what we are getting for ASUs etc

    Will this get Windows 11?
Any 8th gen i3 or later CPU should be compatible with W11

Bought the i5 before Christmas for £200 on the previous deal . Added a second M2 256GB drive to dual boot Linux with Windows and an extra 8GB ram . The wifi on these can be a bit glitchy but I use an ethernet to USB3 adapter and it flies !
Hi I solved the wifi problem, at least for me. I just change the setting to Automatically Connect. The default is Manual connection and so if the signal drops you need to reconnect. I think that's where most of the reports of Wifi 'glitch' rate come from, 'User Error'.

Hi, can this charge via type c? Or is it for just data transfer
Data only - at this price bracket if it doesn't say then it is standard usb c most likely

Especially as it has a DC power in port (edited)

Damn almost £100 for just i5
Not that great for price then

I go the i5 version for Christmas from them and I am delighted. Upgraded to Win 11. Added some cheap RAM to get it to 16GB and now on the lookout for a cheap SATA SSD 1TB card to expand the storage. (edited)
Didn't know you could upgrade the ram, nice to know (for future) 🏼

Be careful, 'opened unused' by laptop outlet at this price point is most likely a refurbished/returned unit.
Doesn't matter if it has a warranty?

Could you play any steam games on this? Sorry my knowledge of laptops is poor!
No dedicated GPU so no AAA gaming, but the integrated GPU will play plenty of fun games, plants Vs zombies, geometry dash, Minecraft, that sort of thing.

Bought sent back no problems but its wifi was glitchy tried to get it on auto connect but didnt work for me otherwise a good buy

Looks like a similar chassis to the n4020 model that was on offer for peanuts about 12 months ago.

Interested to hear opinions on this one. The n4020 model had an absolutely brilliant screen, rubbish keyboard and appalling trackpad (like all five Geobooks I've tried...so bad you have to turn gestures off to stop if doing weird things).

I fix laptops for a living and these are absolute s****te. They are a throwaway item if anything goes wrong. They are a generic Chinese brand sold through various outlets. (edited)

Exactly what I've been looking for thank you just after a cheap decent temporary laptop
    always my pleasure🙏🏽

Returned it recently as it has a dead pixel on display. Otherwise cheaply as expected and the body is quite a fingerprint magnet.
Yep the body does pick up fingerprints easily. Gonna get a nice skin for mine at some point off ebay.

How easy was the return? (edited)

I looked at the spec and price and it was like too good to be true. Then I looked at the brand, ahhhh.

How's the brand? They give 3 years warranty so at least we have this laptop for 3 years tho
    It's all good.

Could anyone link me the correct RAM to get this up to 16gb thanks

Is this IPS or TN panel?
    TN panel

Can anyone confirm if the memory on this specific model is upgradeable, or soldered? And if upgradable, the maximum amount it can handle?
You can add more memory. Scroll up and read comments.

Does this run a low spec version of windows? Because windows system requirements are a lot higher.
What are you on about, it come with windows pro. 10th gen i3 and 8gb is more than enough for Windows 11

Looks nice but I worry about the screen
The screen is fine. Not super bright but it's matte so little or no significant reflection from other sources which is a big plus for me.

Just ordered a 1TB SSD for £55 from Amazon to make use of the m.2 Sata space and give this plenty of shelf life and storage.

Would this be any good for general web browsing, streaming and DJ software?
Ive ordered one for this specific reason. The spec is more than enough for Rekordbox or Serato. No idea what Traktor requires... (edited)
