The George Foreman 18471 grill lets you cook all your favourite foods in a healthier way but in a fraction of the normal cooking time. By grilling from both the bottom and top simultaneously, food cooks over twice as fast, plus unwanted fat and grease is channelled away into the drip tray provided, for a much tastier and healthier bite. As one of the newest family grills to the range the 18471 will cook up to 4 portions at any one time as well as seamlessly adding style and sophistication to any worktop.

Nice find op, great price for this Grilla, looks a real Beast oO

are the grill bags it's pictured with necessary? a pound a bag adds quite a lot to the cost of the food.

George Foreman's great things but hate the smell and having to clean it!. We need a odorless self cleaning one!.

Not sure this is a big deal. You can get the 5 portion/family grill for approx £26 most of the time. Infact Sainsburys are doing 1/2 price offers on these at the mo.

Infact looking at the price chart these have been £19.99 or less since Nov 6th!

Exactly. The price isn't great

cheers op, ordered, this is the perfect size for the 2 of us plus one on the way. Having had the huge old round one for 7 year taking up loads of space this is the perfect size! Dont need a bigger 5 portion one which is also more expensive.

Reviews state it's small and not really suited to the "family" title.

I'd be tempted if the plates came off for cleaning

I had one similar to this but an older model which was great, I replaced it with one of the models with removable plates and found that it didn't distribute the heat evenly, which is apparently a common problem.

I would recommend sticking with the fixed plate models, I have gone back to using one now.

Bought last week on amazon for £19 it's great I love it, but it definitely will not be useful for a family.
There is just two of us here and is perfect size.

Great for cooking, but a headache to clean unless you have the removable plates model. This one isn't it, I believe. I wouldn't bother personally. Good deal though. Voted hot.

I gave it a quick glance and thought it was a roof box!

oO

Cleaning is a pain if left to cool down. Either do it straight away or just turn it back on so gets warm again and wipe with some oil and kitchen roll. Agree it is a pain though. You can get ridged sponges that fit between the grooves so you can clean 5 "lines" at once, these make it easier.

this is a good 'first george foreman' if you do like it and get on with it, i would recommend u buy one with removable plates. im on my 3rd george and now have removable plates, so much easy and used more often now cleaning is easyer, once cooled down, just soak for a few minutes and then wipe clean.

Great deal thanks. Order quickly, Amazon's prices go back up in a flash.

Cold. Highest Amazon price in the last 3 months was £23.97 and was £19.00 on a few occasions last month. £49.99 makes it look like its a good deal against the 'discounted' price but do some research and you will find this grill is priced £20 to £30 in most places.

Don't buy one without removable plates, they're a total pain!

Mine is fantastic and has removable plates, I've also never had an issue with heat distribution?! These are definitely worth the extra cash!

Can I ask which model you have? I'm after one with removable plates and a variable temperature control (otherwise the food just burns in my experience) - had seen the 12205 on offer in Curry's before Christmas but was put off by reviews.

Also great for cheese toasties, much better than a normal sandwich toaster as the whole slice of bread fits in without overlapping the sides.
If doing something like a cheese toastie which doesnt need to be at an angle (to drain the fat away) the fat tray turned upside down and then the front legs of the George Foreman fit perfectly on there to keep it level. Might be part of the design or just luck but works well.
Doubt anyone has ever paid the rrp for this but £19.99 is a pretty good deal.

Hey

Mine doesn't have a variable temperature control, it's just a standard removable plate one

I use mine for cooking burgers, sausages, chicken breasts, pork chops, grilling veg, and as above, as a cheese toaster/panini toaster! Never had an issue with anything burning to be honest, but then I do turn everything a few times so maybe this is why?

I bought one from Argos for the same price. Nice grill but not as big as it looks.

Thought id just found a cheap roof box for my car then

....on first glance I thought this was a car cover...with the cars wheels sticking out underneath..... oO
