No - he's made much much more from the grills

And he probably gets royalties from the electric companies.... These things use some juice!

Heat added. Was gonna buy this from Tesco two days ago but thankfully held back . R these any good BTW ?

The old ones were the best IMO (as in when they first come out). I'd personally go for one with a variable temp so you can set it to cook different foods at different heats. i.e. a toasted sandwich needs far lower heat than a burger for instance.

I personally think this is the best one,

I had mine for years and years before it was replaced, although looking at the reviews there seems to be a big change in them (for the worse) over the past year... so possibly isn't as good any more?:

Or the newer model, but I can't vouch for that one:

How about this Salter branded one... variable temp, Sear Function (to keep your steaks juicy) and timer..£25?! oO

I agree with mamboboy, these are rubbish unless you have a thermostat on them. I have this model and it tends to burn everything. You have to constantly turn whatever you are cooking. Huggychair the salter doesn't mention a thermostat or am I missing something? If it has Im getting one! oO

does anyone know if salter is a good, reliable brand?

Ones with removable plates are the best as you can chuck them in the dish washer

Maybe better for cleaning but not as good for cooking. The plates are only used as conductors so dont heat up as well as the ones which plates arent removable. And they are easy enough to clean as long as you dont let them cool down and the fat solidify.

Look at the reviews mate, people say you can adjust temperature control, will be done digitally.

I've had kitchen scales from salter before, were ok,did the job.

they are excellent.
I bought a basic one from argos for £20 last year, one of the best things I ever bought.

I bought this model a few weeks ago. Works perfectly although I'm not sure how you can call it a family grill. I struggled to fit 2 steaks, some peppers and mushrooms last night.

Great price, heat given, ordered mine, been looking to replace my old one.

(_;)I recently bought the 4 portion and this is excellent, heats up real quick and cooks all food well. Just bought one for my Dad. Heat from me!

Thanks OP - have the small one that Argos substituted for their own brand grill a few years ago and it's brilliant. Could do with a bigger one though.

Showing 2-4 weeks delivery on Amazon now - but still there under 'other buying options'

I hope so ... They're great products. I bet he's well happy that he put his name on them!

Looks like its back up to its original price...or i can't fine the link

Price has now changed. Shame but this model doesn't have removal-able plates which makes cleaning them easier.

Price is still £19.99 on Amazon link at right hand side of page. However is states a 2-4 weeks wait.

I ordered it at 19.99 just now ships 24 Sept or something super saver delivery

Wanted to get one of these for ages, great price for the family size one, good deal!!

back down to £19.99.

Thanks for this great deal! It has been featured over on the HUKD blog PLAYPENNIES
