Great price if you can get it..Got mine for a tenner more from Argos the other month and very happy with it.

Can't see it cheaper on the usual suspects (Amazon/Argos), heated!

Hot

Great post, my old George is giving up after 10 years, thanks so much OP

Buy it, use it a couple of times then leave it in the cupoboard for several years (next to the sandwich toaster) because it is a pain to clean.

Hot

Obviously, wouldn't be much good for cooking otherwise

Its so easy to clean wet cloth as soon as you've finished cooking on it takes all of 30 seconds Lazy Bones

Last good Foreman grill had a temperature dial and prevented burning. These newer models burn food, I remember these being £20 in Argos last dec.

What is the wattage on this?

Nonsense, they are very easy to clean. I use mine all the time and its no hassle at all.

Just switch it off, get some kitchen towel, wet it and place it on the plates. Leave it for a few minutes and the steam cleans the plates, then just wipe the grease off with some fresh paper. Takes no longer then 2 minutes

Just bought this from groupon for £29 so definitely hot hot!

Less than I paid for a 2 portion

I got a variable temp 2 portion version in May. Haven't needed to turn the temperature down once yet. Have done sausages, burgers, various meats, fish and toasted sandwiches.

I do the same with a wet mircofibre cloth. I think as long as you clean it between each use it isn't a problem to clean. I am surprised how easy it is.

Superb ! I'll be nipping down to grab one of these. We use our sandwhich press all the time (and wipe it with a damp cloth after each use ) so this won't be a hassle to keep clean either, and that is a great price for a 5 portion job. Thanks

Good deal heat added

Mines been in the cupboard for around 5 years now lol. Only been used once or twice and only for Sausages.

I bought one from Home bargains for £24.99 a few months ago..................... still in it's box

Do these have the removable plates?

Do these have the removable plates?

Not on this model..

My 2 portion is on it's last legs thanks to friends and family scraping at it with cutlery to clean it.

This is a smoking deal.

Woohoo

There is one with removable plates that goes for around £24 when on offer. For those that prefer to remove the plates for more easy cleaning, I'd recommend you watch out for deals on those ones. Having said that, this particular model seems to have deals in many places from Dunelm to Sainsbury's. They're all priced £19.99.

Good price for a Formby grill.

Removable plates would help cleaning

£29.99 on offer at Sainsburys:

Can't even find mention of Dunelm selling them on their website.

Some reviews before I bought mine said that the removable plate grills didn't heat up evenly, so decided not to bother. It's only another part to break and it's not like they are hard to clean when they are attached to the grill...

No control for the temperature? If not then no thanks. These things burn food like crazy without a temperature control.

I bought one with removable plates and really the thing is so easy to clean, the non-stick coating is so good, that I never even have to remove the plates and just wipe them over each time. You pay more for the removable plates but, as someone said, some reviews have mentioned that they don't heat up evenly. Never found that myself though. Good quality products.

You do that, too? I thought I'd invented that and was about to spring in and save the day.

Deflated now.... sigh.

Good Price, use mine nearly every day (yes I do virtually live on meat!)

Water and high heat should not mix oO I certainly wouldn't want my fingers near those hot grill plates.

I think you mean as soon as it has cooled down.

Lidl had an own make one with removable plates and temperature control for £25 recently, I got one last week.

I love this steam cleaning tip, I will give it a try. The problem I have is that the fat comes out of the meat and then burns onto the hot plates before it makes it to the drip tray.

Guessing this is the non removable plate version, which is a shame.

great deal

Easy as pie to clean, stop being a pansy
Warm it up and wipe with a damp cloth, sorted.
Don't go wiping yer hands on it without a cloth of course lol

My old one is looking a little beaten up and the shape does annoy me lol

Yeah, ours is white and has paint chipped off showing black underneath, and the shape is half moon.

I've got the older george foreman, great grills, but I'd not get a new one that you can't remove the plates from. As eventually they get scratched and difficult to clean.

I absolutely agree with your philosophy bettz1......but I also agree with the reality of the situation that littletime has described

Have one of these -18451 - 1500W , doesnt seem to burn food as it's on a thermostat yet it does cook quickly.
I wipe it clean with a dry bunch of kitchen roll - easy, peasy.

Edit. Cheaper than this one - compare.ebay.co.uk/lik…=63
