am on it like a car bonnit lol

Removable plates?

is it the 14053 model?

I believe it's the 19920.
Which is better out of this and the 18870? This has the higher RRP but I can't see the difference.

let's get this hot!

aldi doing the same price but not sure about the warranty

Just used mine now for a sausage sandwich! Need to get a bigger one though!

How big's your sausage? Actually don't answer that.

Has it got removable plates? Shame no model number on site either

It's the 19920 as amazon have the same picture on there product page for it. amazon.co.uk/Geo…0OY Also looks like it doesn't have removable plates

hmm, have had too many of these in the past and unless the plates are removable they are a devil to keep clean (esp if the kids use them!)

Was just about to say the same thing - they're a pain the backside to clean without removable plates!

Holdenhurst Road Store, Bournemouth, Had these out last night.

I love mine, have had it for years and it cooks food perfectly, but it smokes the kitchen out. I put it as close to window as possible. any other tips?

In terms of cleaning, I heat it up, turn off and remove plug, pour water on and it burns most of the gunk off. The top normally just needs a wipe down anyway.

I bought this a couple of years back for £30 from Tesco and is suprisingly easy to clean, unlike older models.

HOT (Like the grill!)

Not much! Apart from a different style, it appears only available in black & in addition it has a power and thermostat light as opposed to 1 light that does the same job. However it would appear that there is constant control of temp on the 18870 whereas the 19920 only controls temp at start up.

19920 light operation as per manual...

7 The light will come on, then cycle on and off as the thermostat operates to maintain
the temperature. When the light goes off, the grill is ready for use.

18870 light operation as per manual...

5 Put the plug into the power socket – the power light will glow.
6 When the grill reaches operating temperature, the thermostat light will glow. It will
then cycle on and off as the thermostat operates to maintain the temperature.

Is this better than the 18870? It's the same price in BHS.

Do some research, I can't see much difference. Colour and shape seems the main criteria. this one is in Flame red.

tip for cleaning - as soon as u have finished cooking get several sheets of kitchen tissue soak in water and place in the grill and unplug it and let it sizzle away. go back 10 mins later and wipe clean. easy

Damn just bought the 20840 from Robert Dyas.... http://www.robertdyas.co.uk/gfor-family-grill-remvable-plt

At £45 I thought it seemed like an OK deal and does have removable and dishwasher safe plates.... £25 extra is alot more though considering..

I didn't realise there are so many models. On Amazon, this one, the 19920, is £33.49, the 18870 is £26.99. So, this is a good deal.

There is also the 18471 for £20. This is a four portion grill, so I assume is a bit smaller, but may be a good option for some.

Hot deal op.

Have some heat OP

At least this is a higher spec model so worth some extra.

With My Little Stick of Blackpool Rock is better... :P

Think I have the 4 portion one, use it all the time but Omg is it a pain to clean.

I agree with all the removable plates comments. Why are the models with removable plates so difficult to find on a deal?

can my neighbour buy geoge forman online or reserve instore she is housebound

I bought one of these today. No removable plates and it's much smaller than I thought. It's not big enough for more than 2 people. It's ok, but a rrp of £69.99, never.

Popped to the Lidl in Stafford this morning. All sold out yesterday.

all sold out

i am planning to buy one from Amazon albeit for 29.90 however in the past ive had Family 4 Portion 18471 Grill and i have noticed they do not shut all the way, thus if grilling thin vegetables (or few chips) the top part doesn't touch the top of the grill. anyone know if this is the same
thanks
