Ironically, curry is about the only thing you can't cook on them

Definitely not £79.99 but still a good price (ASDA next cheapest at £33.95). I've had this grill for 4-5 years now and it's served me very very well. Still going strong. Had to fix it a few times but very easy to do.

It's the melt and grill one, I'm hoping it's good because it's for a Christmas present

It is good although the melt feature isn't great as it takes absolutely ages for it to melt cheese on toast (for example)

Turned out nice again.

I like these grills but I wished they would invent a better way of collecting / removing the fat than the current cheap plastic tray.

Oh good, i'll get one to put in the cupboard alongside the other one I bought years ago and the Breville sandwich toaster Good price OP

Don't jump at this price, it's common most places

rather get one with removable plates. don't use the non-removable one we've got as it's a pain cleaning it.

This is the same one I got x2 years ago. Paid about the same.
family refuse to eat any meat cooked on it as it burns the meat with the very hot temp before in centre of meat is cooked.
Only one heat setting.

in Georges favour = it cooks brilliant toasted sandwiches.

I'm the opposite - I find any steak cooked on our George is overcooked in the middle by the time the edges have seared as it's not hot enough

whats the difference between the standard George Foreman grill and the melt one?
thanks

PICKED THIS UP IN cURRY'S LAST YEAR FOR THE SAME PRICE . HAVE TO SAY ITS NOT £80 WORTH OF KIT

I just found it crushed any juices out of the meat or chicken by the time it was cooked through. But then of course that is how this product was advertised in the first place - "lean, mean, grilling machine", showing the juice (flavour) running out as an actual feature. I never liked meat cooked on it at all, but funny as you say, I found it made the best toasted sandwiches too! I had to perch the front feet up a bit though, so that any cheese wouldnt run out the sandwich. Too bulky and expensive just to use for toasties though.

Did you also pickup a new keyboard to replace your current one? It seems your Shift key was stuck

My wife knows a guy who grills meat on this and then pours the collected fat and juices back over it.

Picked up one at this price last week! Good price.

Surely the GEORGE FOREMAN 19932 Entertaining Grill is a better deal as it does 7 portions instead of 4. £34.99 instead of £89.99

Definitely agree with you there, massive pain to clean, I regret not getting one with removable plates

A mate of mine in uni used to collect the fat collected from his cheapie Asda sausages from the drip tray to spread on his toast! He seemed to enjoy it....
